    Women-only workout sites

Why isn't there a men-only workout site? Aren't we men allowed any privacy? Oh, yeah, that would be discriminatory, but allowing women to have their way is part of their empowerment (read: admitted weakness and inequality.)

...Women also have their own gender-specific workout sites within both places, if they feel more comfortable with a more private workout...
...The ladies locker room is connected to American Woman, a female-only club, for extra privacy...

    Cool Re: Women-only workout sites

    Mate,
We have them over here in NZ, with names like "Curves" and the like, they harp on the fact that they are female-only as well in their advertising.

There is a well known club here in town that was for years, men only, it was a place where men could go at the end of a hard day, for a cold beer and a good chat with like-minded guys (think trades-MEN).
That all ended about 9 years ago, when some woman with too much time on her hands, demanded that her and her friends be allowed access to this club, in the name of equal rights.
    That unfortunately was granted.

Once she was elected to the Committee by her syncophant friends, it was announced that "changes would have to be made to the Club, to (get this) make it more appealing to the newer members of the establishment"

Last time I was there, there were children running around un-checked by their mothers playing the newly-installed gambling machines.
But you couldn't hear them screaming and carrying on, over the top of the raucous music.
As well as the drunken, swearing women sitting at the table, us men were never this bad, we knew when to go home.

I walked out and have never been back since.
All I can think of, when someone mentions the name of that club, is that bitch that sold our club down the creek.

It used to be so quiet and relaxing, until "equality" hit town

    BTW,
You know why these Wimmin-Only Gyms are taking off?
It's caused by two things, the first being womens own personal vanity, this is propelled by womens mags.
The second is the feminist idea that men are all perverts, we aren't there to get fitter, we are merely there to ogle fat chicks.

I have one idea, maybe it's that women don't like the idea of men showing them up with being able to exercise longer, faster and able to lift heavier weights.

Being a person that has never been to a gym as a paying customer (they make roads for running on as well as cars and bikes), I can't see why folks reckon you have to hand over good money to do things you can do for free.
Kendo keeps me fit, but that may be "too hard" for some.

If you need to go to a GYM, you are not working hard enough at work!

It always depends on how you train. If you are into muscles and don´t own a set of weights and need advise on how to train right....you have to go there.
The men's and fathers' movement needs to make sure it never sees females as the enemy,
but only misandry--whether from females or from males.

And of course, women will claim that that men-only gyms are unnecessary since regular gyms where men comprise the majority count as "men's gyms" in the same where their gender-exclusive gyms do.

That's if they're not already considered to be "patriarchal breeding grounds of testosterone-fueled sexism" for the sex that must be under constant surveillance by the benevolent sisterhood as to prevent evil plans of oppression to sprout behind their backs.

    It is called
    Strategic disempowerment

Men-only clubs, etc, must be picketed, closed down and/or opened to women, even if centuries of tradition are at stake.Women-only clubs, etc, are to be promoted, and preferably paid for by public funds: on-campus 'women's rooms'; women-only swimming pools; "women's shelters" etc.

Isn't that women only sort of thing in terms of sex exactly what a thing called apartheid used to be in terms of race the South Africa of former days?!

And why is it then that nobody is aware of this being discrimination against human rights just as well?

I just quit my club because of a section called "lady fitness" there.

I feel that the women of more age are choosing to stay home with their young children or to work only part time.Because they are been not allowed to take the leaves. But I would appreciate everything the Army has given me and will always be proud to be a veteran that they are giving priority to them. They are providing Six weeks of maternity leave, its great.

Oh come on now...lol....let's be real. If I made a comment about how men are "self-serving assholes" would that be acceptable? I think not. Some might call it misandry. And they'd be right.

Granted on both sides... but, the quote Tera used was in reference to those making use /promoting the women-only clubs.

Men only clubs have, and those men that use them, have been called a lot worse than self serving assholes by feminist groups.

    Re: Women-only workout sites

My town the "#1 Town In Connecticut" has more than one females only place. A few years back I could not find my son for my visitation with him and he said he was at this workout place for women - he had answered her cell phone. I told him I'd be right over and he was pleased but was worried about Mom's reaction. If I showed up there then he would be in trouble with her.

It took me half an hour to get there and when I arrived her workout had apparently ended. I never got him that weekend. However while I was in the place I had a look around. They don't have a locker room...instead they have a "Goddess Chamber". I don't remember many other details but everything was in the same twisted tone.

When my exe filed for divorce it came out that she had met her first divorce attorney there. Who had her spend a year moving money around and other preparation. I still cannot locate where my 401K wound up and it has been years.

So if your wife is going to one of those kind of places...you better be prepared, haha!

    Re: Women-only workout sites

I read the german Site "Trennungsfaq" (Breakupfaq). Horrible stories there, what disturbed me the most was that womens magazines promote misusing the state to put husbands on the streets:

A typical fraud misused today is the Violence Protection Act, which allows to throw men out of there house the second they come home, even when the allegations are obivously false. Many women use psychological and physical violence to provoke the man. Now the trap snaps. The Violence Protection Act favours a reversion of proof (Feck: The husband has to prove he is not violent). It upgrades every local police man to a judge, afterwards no one is interested whether the alligations were true or not. Will he finally be allowed to return to the apartment again, it is often empty only a letter with allymony claims can be found.

That should not be underestimated. In the public media and talk shows "Divorce Tips" are advertised with the words "here you will find valuable tips". Those show sections which advice females to abuse the Violence Protection Act shamelessly

"The Year of separation in the joint housing can be a pain in the neck. Above all, we wish our partner goes to hell. So what to do? Here you can use a little trick. Wait until he leaves and then install a new lock. When he comes home and loudly asks to get in, call the police. Say that you are separating him and that he is violent and you live in constant fear, the officials will take with him. " (Source: "Finally divorced" by Karin Wichmann-Dietl, the former chief editor of "Colorful" and "Cosmopolitan" and is considered a leading "expert on Society").
Was tun?
