Re: Wife beaters will be banned from their homes in new domestic violence clampdown
Even the title of that article misses the point.
So then,Wife beaters will be banned from their homes in new domestic violence clampdown.
For husband beaters, it's business as usual is it?
I hope the Labour party really gets screwed in the next UK elections.

Of course it is. [sarcasm]They are after all, poor innocent victims driven to
violence by their oppression under the patriarchy. Violent men should be punished, violent women need understanding and counselling.[/sarcasm]: http://glennsacks.com/blog/?p=3936
Really what the headline should be is "Accused wife beaters will be banned from their homes in new domestic violence clampdown."

Re: Wife beaters will be banned from their homes in new domestic violence clampdown
This is a radical departure from current law and we must adjust our behaviour. You are right in that this is wealth re-distribution.
My ex-girlfriend, who lived rent free in my house for 3 years, and I were breaking up. Knowing what I have learned from this site I did not ask her to leave or let her know my plans and give her an opportunity to start a fight and take my house.
I simply ignored her completely. Within 2 weeks one night while I was asleep she went on Craigslist and spent the night at another mans house.
Seeing my opportunity, I called my attorney who advised me to change the locks immediatly.
When she came back I would not open the door and she called the police, luckily a female officer came, she saw what was happening and understood, I explained the matter as above and they asked her to leave the premisis with the clothes on her back.
I will never let a female reside in my house again, even if the laws change.
My assets are not mine but belong to my entire family, I cannot risk them for my personal reasons.

Re: Wife beaters will be banned from their homes in new domestic violence clampdown
To be honest I've only voted once since “97”. i don't like not voting, but i don't like voting for the sake of it even more, I'll vote Tory in the next election only because these current loonies have to go, and because none of the other parties stand a realistic chance of forming a majority.
frankly i think the British isles are fucked (irredeemably) and to quote the iron lady “things will have to get (a lot) worse before they get better”.

Much as I hate to defend the Tories: they aren't "moronic socialist"s, they're just morons, with a bloody expensive education
The real problem isn't so much the party system we have, it's the lobby system... these won't get voted out in the next election, but they will still have a lot of clout

Re: Wife beaters will be banned from their homes in new domestic violence clampdown
When I was getting divorced , my solicitor told me that I had every right to stay in the marital home , unless my wife accused me of domestic violence . I said , "Don't worry , I won't lay a finger on her , I'm not that daft " . She said , "No ,listen to what I said , unless she ACCUSSES you of domestic violence" I was then told that all it takes is an ACCUSATION of domestic violence to get a man out of his own home .
How much of this inequality can men take ?

Now they are turning a gender war witch hunt into a socio political and economic crusade! WTF'This coming political battle really is a fight for this country's future. The LibDems are offering savage cuts, the Tories promise an age of austerity. Only Labour can offer hope and opportunity against Cameron's Notting ill version of laissez-faire,' he said.
It is much the same here in the U.S. as it is in the U.K. but the law is interpereted differently in different states. One of the many reasons not to get married in the first place.
How much of this inequality can men take ?Do not ever suppose that a small group of people can never change the world. INDEED it is the only thing that ever has.
