Mum flushes newborn baby down plane toilet

At least the above 'policy' would have a root in at least one instance of such an event on an aeroplane.

Yes but Turkmenistan airlines don't have an all men are paedophiles policy, therefore one of the men/paedophiles probably made her flush the baby down the toilet or it was somehow a man's fault somehow.

Also most gender feminists seem to think a child is a mother's property anyway and she has the right to have an abortion right up until the 57th trimester, and therefore the offence would be far less serious than say looking at a woman's cleavage.

I received the same stock answer as Marx, and here is my reply:

    FAO James Neville
    Dear Mr Neville
Thank you for your reply to my email under the above reference.

Unfortunately however your reply is wholly inadequate to explain or justify the policy of your airline. Let me dissect some of your comments to illustrate my point.

"To minimise risk to the child, whenever possible we do not seat unaccompanied minors beside adult male passengers."

Why, exactly? How does keeping unaccompanied minors away from male passengers minimise the risk? That would only be true if male passengers, as a group, were dangerous to children; or at least more dangerous than any other comparable group. Is that what your airline believes? If so, please provide evidence that proves that male airline passengers as a group commit more offences against children on aeroplanes than any other comparable group.

If you cannot substantiate that claim with evidence, then why has it been adopted as company policy? The only explanation is that BA chooses to ignore objective evidence and prefers to substitute ignorance and bigotry.

"This procedure is not meant to cause offence to our male passengers, nor is it meant to imply that all men are a danger to children."

If that is true, then whoever dreamed up the procedure is a short-sighted idiot, because it is as clear as day that the procedure will inevitably cause offence to male passengers - as you have discovered to your cost. Exactly what kind of moron initiates a policy that openly states that men are a danger to children, and then gets taken by surprise when men take offence? Let me give you a comparison, and see how you feel about it. My policy is that no employee of BA should be allowed out in public unless they are on a leash and carry a placard around their necks with the words: "Caution, this animal may bite". You understand of course that this procedure is not meant to cause offence to employees of BA, nor is it meant to imply that all employees of BA are a danger to the public.

Are you happy enough with that?

"It is there as a precaution in the best interests of the welfare of our young passengers flying alone and will also protect male passengers from being the subject of false accusations."

Oh really? What a complete contradiction in ideology. You are happy to brand all your male passengers as child abusers, but you are, at the same time, so concerned for the welfare of this huge army of assumed paedophiles that you want to ensure they don't get falsely accused...that is to say, falsely accused of something that you believe they will all do if given half a chance. This is truly intellectual insanity.

"However this policy is currently under review."

Glad to hear it. Don't take too long in scrapping it.

"Please be assured customer feedback such as yours is important to us. We do hope that despite your current sentiments, you will give us an early opportunity to better serve you next time you travel with us."

There won't be a next time, because you do not offer me any "service" at all. You really must learn the difference between serving your customers and insulting them.

Best reply so far, you've completely destroyed all their arguments. Maybe have a go at Qantas next?

Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Just made some enquiries as to whether they'd finished their review yet. No news, but have to say it was an incredibly entertaining phone call to make.

I'm glad that he stood up for himself.

I find that horrible to just assume a man is going to abuse a child, but not the same way for a woman. Pedophilia runs in women too, not just men.

I hope this helps show that men get discriminated too, not just women.
