Great argument, along the lines of "you are opposed to communism, so was Hitler." If you find the very thought of homosexuality so horrible that you think the force of the state must be used to discourage it, fine, but stop pretending there is any link to misandry.
I think you is mad at me, George! (I'm sure a genius like you will get the literary reference.)You go on watching the idiot box, it probably suits you."...it is clear that anti-male bigotry is a widespread and dangerous virulent phenomenon. If Andrea Dworkin, Catherine Mackinnon, Mary Daly and their online groupies ... are not enough to convince you consider Valerie Solanas." - my words from my blog - http://funktardtroll.blogspot.com/20...ry-exists.html

Re: The Simpsons does it again
Know this!
The main reason why the idiotic politicians are force feeding homosexuality to the kids is because of population control.
After the sexual revolution, the birth rates hit the stratosphere and the political pansies shit their pants. In a desperate attempt to cover up their stupidity, they high jacked feminism and turn it into pitiful, sorry bowel movement you see to this day! The political pansies have used feminism to the bone and now they need a host that will help them to hang on to their check books. An the winner is HOMOSEXUALITY!!!
I don't think that the gay community likes politics very much and they won't take the bait!

So what other interests do you and feminists share?Great argument, along the lines of "you are opposed to communism, so was Hitler."
Uh, we were talking about TV being used as a tool in social engineering, I never brought up the state. If you find the very thought of homosexuality so horrible that you think the force of the state must be used to discourage it, fine, but stop pretending there is any link to misandry.
Don't you have something to watch on tv?

Garak, you claim people should be encouraged to turn the TV off, but just looking at your avatar and signature, it appears you must watch some TV. I'm not a sci-fi fan, but I think I saw that guy on your avatar in advert for either Star Trek or Battlestar, something like that, I'm just saying.
As I say, I don't watch them, but are the sci-fi shows you watch completely misandry-free?Hugh & Mary Discuss Feminist Related Issues (ALL SUBTITLED): http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...0081D259987DCD

Re: The Simpsons does it again
No-one is denying that there is misandry on TV, advertising is infested with it, I can't speak for others, but what I am saying, is that men making us laugh in comedy is not misandric, that's my point, it does not mean I am some kind of idiot who can't see the negative side of TV, I point it out all the time, I just believe people are taking this the wrong way, it's comedy, there has to be someone messing things up, and it has to someone funny, hence it being a man 99% of the time.
Before feminism infested our society, comedies back in the day always had the man as the buffoon, as the one making us laugh, nothing has changed, so how come it's misandry now?Hugh & Mary Discuss Feminist Related Issues (ALL SUBTITLED): http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...0081D259987DCD

Re: The Simpsons does it again
It becomes misandry when the viewer becomes aware of the term. As an MRA you are, no doubt, aware of the term. The Simpsons is all about Homer and Bart being idiots while Lisa and Marge are the smart ones, like with most TV. It makes no difference that it is animated. Before feminism infested our society, comedies back in the day always had the man as the buffoon, as the one making us laugh, nothing has changed, so how come it's misandry now?
It would not have lasted as long as it has without that misandry because TV is written to appeal to women, this does and thus is still on the air."If Blizzard expects you to be always online to play their game. Then Blizzard need to always be online whenever you want to play it."- Unknown internet poster

Re: The Simpsons does it again
I'm always a bit “split” when it comes to comedy, men are funnier than women of that there is no question. But i think you make a good point about “awareness” to a man not fully tuned into misandry it is just comedy and he will laugh and enjoy the humour no matter its context, where as women will laugh because it bolsters their sense of “man dumb woman smart” and panders to their ego.
I only watch stand up acts these days and as soon as they get misandric i zap em with my blaster (remote control)

Re: The Simpsons does it again
Alright, you're just not getting it.
As was explained to you twice now, it's not the fact that lisa is intelligent that we're saying is misandric, but the fact that they're saying every simpsons male in history is stupid and a horrible person, and the only good simpsons are the females.Last edited by Tahiri; 1st-March-2010 at 11:58 PM.
