Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
CBC News has been reporting on Mounties who say they experienced years of sexual harassment on the job. In an internal RCMP complaint, Cpl. Catherine Galliford makes serious allegations about misconduct inside the RCMP. She shared the complaint with CBC News and spoke with reporter Natalie Clancy about her claims.
After Clancy's report on Nov. 7, another female officer came forward and said she was also sexually harassed and that she was assaulted. Krista Carle said she knows of other women who have faced harassment and that when she tried to complain about the harassment she was experiencing, management tried to cover up the complaint.

With the greatest level of respect, they're expensive, generally high-maintenance creatures, women, aren't they? Not that I condone sexual harassment, but false claims are hardly uncommon, I'd say.

These women who are rushed up the ladder of command over the males who have to do twice the physical requirements should expect some resentment from the men.
Having a vagina does not make a woman more qualified for leadership roles because of gender quota's.

Re: Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
It's amazing how so many women start coming forward, AFTER someone else does, isn't it? Only then able to talk about it, with the support of other women making such claims? Or simply jumping on the bandwagon, for publicity, vindictiveness and money? Place your votes.........

When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

Re: Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
How about two branches of the RCMP? One is all-male and the other is all-female.
See which does the better job and pay them by results.
Ha-ha only joking! Do they burn heretics in Canada or just castrate them?
I'm willing to bet that the majority of male RCMPs have wives and families. Would the female branch have the same motives as the male branch?
Of course I know it wouldn't work. The male branch arrests a hundred robbers and murders while the female branch protects one woman from the possible prospect of an imaginary rape. Guess who get the bonus?

RCMP officer faces 2 sexual coercion allegations
A female officer with the force says she was intimidated and coerced into having sexual relations with a male superior, and now another woman has come forward with similar allegations about the same B.C. Mountie.
At the hearing Thursday, the lawyer for accused officer Staff Sgt. Travis Pearson questioned a psychologist who's been treating Const. Susan Gastaldo.
Gastaldo alleges Pearson coerced her into an ongoing sexual relationship, which included one intimate session inside his police vehicle.
But Pearson's lawyer, James Rowland, pointed out there were a number of intimate text messages between the two.

Love it!!!!
RCMP rules against female cop for having sex on job with her superior
VANCOUVER — After weeks of complex testimony in a police-conduct hearing, RCMP adjudicators ruled a female officer was not coerced into sexual relations with her boss, and is guilty of disgraceful conduct for having sex with him on the job.

Re: Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
I laughed out loud at this! One can imagine that she could have been 'coerced' the first time, but for it to be 'ongoing'??? It also begs the question as to why a woman so easily 'coerced' and seemingly lacking in any assertiveness skills was actually recruited into the RCMP.Gastaldo alleges Pearson coerced her into an ongoing sexual relationship, which included one intimate session inside his police vehicle.
One comment:
Nail on head! Many public service organisations have become so obsessed with their politically correct crusades that they have neglected their primary duties to taxpayers."Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head". Silly me! And here I thought that national security and enforcement of the law would be the top issue for the new RCMP Commissioner.Feminism : The world's most effective contraceptive.

The men Support and Provide for wives and families. How many women support and provide for a husband?I'm willing to bet that the majority of male RCMPs have wives and families. Would the female branch have the same motives as the male branch?

Her false allegations were apparently an attempt to save her own neck....
What ticks me off,are the people that are still holding him more responsible yet fail to recognize the false allegations of sexual crimes against him.

...as usual, as it concerns cases like the one in question...when it pertains to matters of sex and the job - the canadian woman ends up getting 'screwed'...
...this decision will leave a huge pie-in-the-face mark on canadian females...
Seems some people are waking up though;wessexThis flies in the face of everything we know about victimization.
It's hard to believe that the three male adjudicators (kangaroo court) have just victimized this woman again, and sent a message straight down the line that sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of women, and presumably some men, by their superiors is okay
IRB1858
The reason greater punishment may be sought for her is not being reported on this site. The reason is she deliberately slandered him and made false allegations of rape against him.
Everyone preaches accountability and responsibility. She needs to take responsibility for herself.ake 3
They had an affair! She got caught by her hubby so she tries to make it into something it was not! The only criminality is her accusing him of forcing her into this relationship.Tharkun
The woman is accusing a man of rape without the evidence to support it (a potential crime) whereas the man is merely admitting to an affair ( a conduct violation). If it turns out the whole thing was completely consensual the woman could deserve prison time. You could call this a case of men sticking together but then you could also call this a case of law abiding citizens sticking together.

Re: Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
I sure would not want to be falsely accused of any sex crime in Canada-if the thumbs rating's are any indication of how people feel about this.
Seems her allegation's being dismissed are nothing more than a cover-up by the patriarchal leader's in an attmpt to silence her and other women from coming forward about being sexually assaulted and dominated.
This latest story shows exactly how the general population has been swayed by the feminist regime.
Where a false allegation must have some merit and the male is obviously a liar.
Shit like this just disgusts me.
There are a few people who are bringing up the false allegation only to be thumbed down by the feminist's and their flock of sheep.
ugh.
Apparently with-out a women on the deciding panel, the panel has no competance in coming to the correct decision.
Wtf?

Re: Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
CBC has been pretty good at letting the commentt's fly, which is unusual.
This CHACHA person has been attacking anyone who thinks that the male cop may be innocent of the accusation's from his lover, because there were no women on the panel that dismissed the allegations against him.
Yet it is known that the panel has seen and reviewed the e-mails between the two cops and this was taken into consideration on the panel's judgement, that the female officer's accusation's had no merit.
Hey outdoors,
What are you - his wife? Guess he told you the allegations are false and you believe him cause he's a cop? Riiiiight.
If you repeat the words 'false allegations' often enough perhaps someone might believe you. It's a common strategy used by the RCMP.

People like you scare me.
I would be terrified to be falsey accused of a sex crime in Canada with people like you around.
He was cleared-her claims were dismissed,so you figure if women were on the board that made this decision,he would be guilty?
How biggoted can you be?
Get over it-some women are known to use false allegation's of sexual misconduct for all kinds of reason's to save their own skin.
Google false rape society and educate yourself.

Re: Sexual harassment claims top issue for new RCMP head
Just like St John Taxi driver's being warned about picking up drunk women, the RCMP may want to reconsider hiring women alltogether.
Lawsuit against RCMP near, Thunder Bay lawyer says
A Thunder Bay, Ont. lawyer says he’s close to filing a class-action lawsuit against the RCMP on behalf of current and former members who allege they’ve been victims of harassment and bullying by colleagues.
Zaitzeff wouldn’t reveal how many women have signed on to the action so far but said the number grows daily and there could be hundreds in the end. Damages sought in the action could add up to hundreds of millions of dollars, he said.
“They want to see fairness in the workplace. They hope for redress."
Fairness?
How about doing the same physical requirements as the men?
How about being qualified for a promotion and not using a vagina as a tool for climbing the promotional ladder over more qualified males.
They should expect males to be somewhat resentful.
