Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
Here is a short list I have compiled this morning of some rock gyms around the USSofA that offer special discounts to women only. I'm sure I could spend the rest of my day and all weekend working on this, but you get the point. Even if you aren't interested in this activity, picking one or two gyms and contacting them with your view would help our overall cause.

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
As you know DM, the equality that is being strived for is equality of participation.. Classic marketting ploy to try and get more folks who would not otherwise pay much, or anything, to put a foot in the door.. This sort of thing is extremely common on dating sites, and other places where women are not usually as keen to partake as much as men.. Night clubs also do this sort of thing..
It is usually the case that men benefit, because men (it is presumed) want to have the company of women in these activities.."Women...

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
I know it is common. That doesn't make it acceptable or pleasant. Flies and mosquitoes are common. I am sick of being singled out as the "wallet" for everyone. Regarding the company of women, that has its place. Honestly, I would like to be able to go places and know that no women are allowed. It would be relaxing and refreshing. Men and women need some places to be away from each other. Only women are afforded such luxury. Either way, I don't want to fund anyone else's lifestyle. People who take advantage of discounts for their demographics are fighting against equality. How can their be "equality of participation" if certain groups have to fund other groups' participation? There is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone has to pick up the tab.

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
Indeed.. Men should be allowed to have "men only" places for sure..
The equality of participation idea is based on the idea that when an activity has (say) ten times more men than women wanting to "bid up" for it, then the market needs to find a way of getting more women to come in.. (tempting freebies are usually just limited so that the women end up paying anyway when they want to fully utilise the facilities, i.e. attend all sessions etc..)..
Sometimes (clubs, dating sites etc).. Simply having more women in, INCREASES the male participations immensely.. so.. "It pays for itself"..
Most men, recognise the "inequality", but at the end of the day, don't care as long as it increases their personal chances of getting some clam to spear..
What is some good about "eek quality" anyway? I often ask..
To me, it always sounds like the noise a man makes when his nads are wrenched off.."Women...

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
Women taking advantage of "Ladies Nights" belie their claims to want equality. People receiving special treatment are either superior or inferior but definitely not equal. People these days have no self respect. There once was day, so I'm told, when a person's word was his bond and he was insulted if offered charity. Now, people break legal contracts and become indignant if not given redistributed wealth.
Why don't women "woman up" and insist on there being no "Ladies Nights". For one thing, there aren't very many ladies around these days. What would happen if there were "Gentlemen's Nights"? Would that attract women?
Nothing "pays for itself". In this case, men pay for it. Why would men, the scapegoat and laughing stock of society, want to fund women's entertainment and recreation? It would be one thing if women revered us. However, I do not think women can revere men that treat women as equals. They may still want our wallets and sperm, but they instinctively cannot respect us. That's why women prefer bad guys. That's what gets their respect."Rights for women and responsibilities for men is really license for women, slavery for men, and liberty for neither. " Dylan MacVillain

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
Aye.. Women play a tricky position regards all this equalitarian BS.. I bet if you asked the women in these places (lets say night clubs, for example) what they think of accepting the freebies, they will probably say "should be free for men too... after all, equality and all that..".. They will say that without considering the economic impossibility of it, they will say it simply to look like they are not hitching a free ride of a mans itching to be in the company of something that could give him crabs..
When it comes to other matters, some women just dont like the idea of men staring at them with boners on and giving them a "helping hand" supporting their udders etc..
And many partners of women who partake in such things where a likelyhood of more male attention is high, would likely prefer his sexual property to be in the company of her own sex alone..
Men should be able to have "men only" places too, that is for sure..
Is the lack of such due to lack of demand?
Or just legislation that bans it?
How to gay bath houses etc operate?"Women...

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
As long as the gym offers a "Gentlemens Night", I'm fine with it.
I prefer doing Zumba with my dog. Gyms suck.

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
Find one gym or any other type of establishment that offers a "Gentlemen's Night". Impossible. They don't exist. The only things in this life that are exclusively men's domain are military drafts and alimony.

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
People might argue "ladies night" in a gym or social setting is relatively harmless. I'd disagree, it inadvertently supports a greater infrastructure which influentially extends to the political and legal where men are notoriously shortchanged.

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
Just to pick a random example here, but awhile ago in the Netherlands, a soccer match got disrupted and ended prematuraly because of a hooligan whom assaulted a goalkeeper. The reppercussions originally included for the match to played over WITHOUT public, but in order to gain some money from this, the hosting club, Ajax requested that only women and children be allowed to watch the game under the guise of 'in Turkey it was a success and men are all hooligans'.
Now, in comment sections, you immediatly see allot people argueing that it's 'harmless', yet they so conveniently forget how the slippery slope of gradual adjustment (for lack of a better term) works. These so-called 'little and harmless' matters open the door for the next step and subtly sustains greater issues.
Another excuse I've seen from time to time is along the lines of this:
'They have women only days in situation x, why shouldn't they have one in situation y then?'
In other words, because women already get special treatment, they are entitled to even MORE special treatment. The sense of entitlement involved in these matters sometimes off the charts.
Either way, it's always the same story. Reverse the roles however, and suddenly people see problems that would allegedly marginalize women.

When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

Re: Rock Gyms Offer "Ladies Night"
This is a message saying there are still ladies out here. Feminists are making us extinct, if you haven't noticed.
As for the ladies nights, I am against it. Not just because it's hypocritical to have one for ladies and not men, but because it's just a marketing ploy to get people to spend money.
