An article in the current issue of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Report exposes the “man-o-sphere” through which this backlash to feminism finds a voice, and the real-life acts of violence that appear to have links to the hate found online. Hundreds of websites, blogs and chatrooms are devoted to rants about feminism and rage filled tirades against domestic violence laws and the family court system. Women, specifically Western women, are blamed for oppressing men through false accusations of abuse and rape, through divorce, and for generally demanding equality in the social and legal realms. Author of the report Arthur Goldwag writes that virtual threats of violence against women online appear to have real world consequences. The case exemplifying the link between belief and action is that of Tom Ball, a leader of the Fatherhood Coalition, who hit his 4-year-old daughter in the mouth and found himself entangled in child custody and child support battles. Last year, he lit himself on fire outside of a New Hampshire courthouse. Ball left a suicide note calling for a male insurrection. He wrote, “[t]he federal government declared a war on men. It is time, boys, to give them a taste of war.”

Hitting 4 year old girls and setting fire to yourself hardly represents anything other than more self-destruction to add to what the system is piling on.. Why not hit the bastards in the court and set fire to the court?

Imagine a country where you could be forced from your house and kids based solely on a lie.

Imagine a country where you appear in court, guilty until you prove your self innocent.

Imagine a country where you if you cannot afford and attorney, one was not provided to you.

Imagine a country where you cannot subpoena evidence by those that accused you.

Imagine a country where even if you prove yourself innocent, your accuser is never held accountable for their actions.

I would challenge the author of this, to show me an area in which women lose out, in the "legal realms" (I'm sure they could bullshit, when it comes to "social realms", but the legal realms would represent quite a challenge, for any person, however much of a professional bullshitter, to link misogyny to.

Extensive examples, there. Also, I'm sure no woman who's hit a young child in the mouth, has EVER gained custody of her children *ahem*.

It is not the men's movement that is misogynistic; it is the feminist movement that is misandric. For years, feminists have been claiming that domestic violence is almost solely perpetrated by men. Where is the equality in this view? They also promote the idea of men cheating more than women? Where is the equality in this view? Men's activists, however, argue that domestic violence is committed roughly equally between men and women, and the same with adultery. So, riddle me this, Batman: which movement is it, which promotes a view of equality, the most? Add to this the laws that feminists push for that directly favour women, such as it being a crime for men to have sex with drunk women, but not vice versa, and for women's prisons, but not men's, to be closed....and you have a movement which couldn't be further from pushing for equality. To oppose this bias is NOT misogyny; it is equality, in a way that feminists will never understand. For the record, it is also rather hilarious, how the only example cited, where women supposedly are discriminated against, in law, regards abortion: an area in which fathers have absolutely NO rights, yet it's being claimed the law biases against women?! The hypocrisy of feminism is thus illustrated perfectly.
