local d.v. conference

Locally there is a d.v. conference for all women's shelter's in my area for women shelter worker's.

Done by a Trauma specialist.

The radio has had a little speach by the speaker on how rape,dv and other issue's affecting people(women) are on the increase.

She then says something about how men have now started coming forward about abuse thanks to and exclusive to the Penn State false rape incident.

Men have come forward long before this incident,they were just chastized and silenced.

Maybe men cannot be ignored as much as before when it comes to d.v.?

Even though she did acknowledge men as being victim's,I see no help or support anywhere.

Certainly no one at this conference representing men.

Personally,I think this is a government sponsored feminist circle jerk.

Maybe you go to to it and speak with the therapist - maybe do a mini interview for AM and ask about the resources avaliable for men, the types and numbers of male victims, how they proved it was DV, etc

I doubt very much i will be allowed through the door.

I have looked for contact option's,the only way is to go through the local women's shelter.

I already know the stance that will be taken if I call them.

What gets me is her statement that;

Men have come forward now because of the Penn state incident.

it is indeed..

The whole concept of domestic violence is silly.

There is violence is violence, whether it comes from a man, a woman, or whether or not they are related in some way..

People choose their partners and friendships etc..

These DV types are sent by the state to break up families, or at best, control them directly to do what the state wants them to do, not what folks within their own family would want them to do..

It would not be so bad if the state's efforts to tackle DV where geared towards SAVING and HELPING the family, as opposed to what clearly happens in practice, they make efforts to SPLIT and BREAK the familiy..

As for the clear bias in all DV agents supported by the state, we know full well that they work on the principle that the woman is innocent and the man must be guilty..

The solution the state suggests seems invariably to mean that the abuser (who can be identified by the ownership of testicles) must be removed and punished, and the victim (the one who sits down to urinate) gets rewarded by state handouts and much praise and "support"..

Enables the state to have much more power over a family that is now headed by a "prone to violence" 'tard..

A token headship indeed, as the state can now just take the kids off the femtard at any time under any pretext..

We see the state encroaching ever deeper into our lives - the latest reports about plans for monitoring the internet.

My suggested strategy has always been to go back to the basics of what every intelligent being would do when faced with threats..

Fight or flight..

Fighting is a major problem because that can be used against us.. It feeds the beast!

So that leaves only flight..

There are many ways of retreating..

Many "retreat strategies"..
