Judging people and what they do/say

We have no right to judge, say the feminists and their brain-dead fellow travellers, while doing just that themselves.

[QUOTE] Do I believe the above title? Nope. Not only do I not agree with it, but those who can still think clearly and critically (and we seem to find fewer and fewer such folks nowadays) will see instantly the logical absurdity involved in the statement.

When you tell a person that it is wrong to judge, what are you doing? If you are not sure, let me spell it out for you: you are making a moral judgment! To say that moral judgments should not be made, the person saying this of course is making a moral judgment.

The truth is, we are all moral beings and we all make moral judgments all the time. We cannot avoid it. So one of the silliest and most useless things a person can ever say is that it is wrong to judge. By making such a statement, the person is doing the very thing he or she says we should not be doing: making a moral judgment.

If you think it is wrong when others make moral judgments, you yourself are doing exactly the same thing. You are making a moral judgment that it is wrong to make moral judgments. I belabour the obvious here since I get this all the time from unthinking and undiscerning people.

We have managed to so dumb down an entire generation that we find ourselves getting into hot water for stating simple and obvious truths. Even to say that the Holocaust was wrong will get alot of people worried, concerned about your “judgmental” thoughts.

I don't think a person should judge someone else; however, there is nothing wrong with telling it like it is. ;-)

    Gordon Bennett.

Did you not understand the logic of paragraph three?

Short of trying to illustrate it with coloured crayon and building blocks, he could not have made it simpler to grasp.

Yeah, it's a paradox just like saying generalizations are wrong to make because in doing so you are making a generalization about generalizations.
When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

I don't know who Gordon Bennett is, but the "judge" you are referring to is that discernment; however, it can also be used to condemn someone, and that is what needs to be avoided.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.
Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

I don't know who Gordon Bennett is

    There are two apocryphal GBs:

One was the Editor of a mid-west newspaper in the USA who swore like a deranged sailor.

The other was the Australian General who 'left' Singapore the day before it fell to the japs so that he could 'report the situation' to the politicians in Canberra.

    Both have become alternate swear-words.

Perhaps I should have involked Arfur Phuksayke.
