TRY THIS SURVEY
- If you saw a TV commercial or sitcom depicting a clumsy, bumbling, dork, is it more likely the person is: male[ ] female[ ]
If you saw a TV commercial showing the dangers of drinking and driving, would you expect the persons in the commercial to be: male[ ] female[ ]
If you saw a TV commercial about domestic violence would you expect the perpetrators of the violence to be: male[ ] female[ ]
If you saw a TV commercial or sitcom showing a smart, competent person with a confident, all-knowing smile, is it more likely the person is: male[ ] female[ ]
In a recent Perth survey of Year 11 students (male and female), 82% answered male, male. male. female to the survey questions.
The campaign of affirmative action over the past three decades to improve opportunities for women has been hijacked by radical feminists to denigrate, belittle and emotionally castrate men (particularly white heterosexual men). Many of the feminist zealots are now in positions of power as government advisers where they increasingly influence public policy.
So pervasive is the insidious influence of the feminazis that the producers of TV sitcoms and TV commercials have become their unwitting accomplices. How many sitcoms and commercials have you seen where the male is portrayed as a bumbling dork and the female is smart and all-knowing?
No wonder boys are growing up confused and alienated, falling behind at school and committing suicide in increasing numbers.
The latest example of a blatantly sexist TV commercial is the pathetic piece promoting Birdseye chips. The dorky male sits there mouth agape while one child says "get him a doctor" and the other, with a roll of the eyes says, "nah, get him a psychiatrist". The smiling, all-knowing wife says "no, give him a chip" and flings a chip into his gaping mouth.
It's time to roll back the tide of rampant feminist brainwashing. This is not a campaign to roll back the rights of women or to belittle women. The vast majority of females do not want to see their sons, brothers and husbands denigrated by a band of man-hating super-bitches.
Let's start with Birdseye. Like most of our food industry, it is foreign-owned. Giant American conglomerate, Simplot Australia Pty Ltd owns Birdseye along with I&J, Edgell, Leggos, Nana's, Herbert Adams and Four 'N' Twenty. I suggest you contact Simplot and tell them you will boycott all their products until they remove the offensive commercial.
And it's time for governments (federal and state) to conduct an enquiry into the taxpayer funded feminist and discrimination industry.
We would appreciate your feedback on this. Let us know if you contact Simplot, and their response. And send in your examples of gender bias.

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Quote from Karl

I hear two ads for Fleming College on the radio at work. one of a father with a daughter off at school, one with a mother and a son off at school.
Both are the same except for one thing at the very end
The mother says the son will be home when the food runs out-end of ad
the father says duaghter will be home when money runs out followed by "Oh, I got this great part time job"
So the daughter gets the last word but the son doesn't? That commercial pisses me off everytime I hear it (also because it's an annoying commercial to begin with)Very Very infrequent posts. But alas I still exist.

Typical.
Have you tried seeking contact with the broadcaster?
I've been thinking similar - though not for same reasons, as an advert here where i am (i can see Canada from my living-room window) receives a Canadian radio signal on 99.9fm. The advert is for some big prom thing, but they've got someone to imitate an old woman (or it really is an old woman) and she says at the end of the advert:
"Ugh, those kids and their crazy F'KING tight jeans"
Seriously, the woman speaks it very, very clearly - and as she's not using the full word "fuck", it's considered broadcast material.
My 11yr old step-son was in the house with me, at some early point in the day - about 10 or 11am and this advert was being aired for all to hear.
I realise they're not using the 'full word' but sheeesh, what happened to common sense? My step-son hasn't used it as an excuse to get-away with swearing (Oh, but she said it on the radio - and i'm not actually saying "fucking", am I?) but the potential is clearly there. What of all the stay at home parents with their young children who are listening to this garbage?►My blog / Your Blog

Re: Gender Bias
Unless we start making our opinion heard, nothing is going to change. I found it hard to not get angry when you hear such blatant sexism.
I had an opportunity a couple of weeks ago to respond to some "mother of three kids" ranting and raving about "how bad men are".
I phoned the radio station and got on air after requesting right of reply.
This particular program has a segment where anyone can call in and have a whine and a moan and most are women ofcourse.
I stated that it was totally unacceptable and blatantly sexist for that female to generalise about all men in this state to be the same. That I was a father of 4 kids and that her attitude towards all men was pure misandry.
I did not get upset or yell or scream, just put forward my opinion and left them to it.
I did not even wait for any other comments.....
Not interested.
This is the way to do it.
If you are uncertain how to go about it, take your time and write it down and go for it tomorrow. Put up a request here for assistance, we will surely help any effort that gets our message across.

Re: Gender Bias
Could this be moved to the Activism / Media / Campaigns forum? It would be better if the word "survey" is added in the thread's name so that the description is more accurate.
