The BOYCOTT PINK Campaign

This is the thread to get info on boycotting any products and companies that are jumping on the pink ribbon bandwagon.

Thomas English muffins are donating large sums to the pink ribbon campaign, and have festooned their packages of muffins with the pink ribbon.

BE SURE TO WORD YOUR LETTERS CAREFULLY...WE DO NOT WANT THEM TO THINK WE ARE TRYING TO STOP BREAST CANCER RESEARCH, WE JUST WANT THEM TO FOCUS ON MEN'S CANCERS AS WELL!

Be sure to mention the fact that prostate cancer is NINE TIMES more prevalent in men than breast cancer is in women.

Encourage companies to support research for ALL CANCERS ACROSS THE BOARD, without singling them out by gender.

She is not against the pink brigade as you seem to think Annette. She clains it's 'sexist' for one but her main issue is the companies making money off of it.

Kind of a different impression as far as I am concerned than "against" the femi-centric ideology methinks......

I noticed that the more I read of her blog...still, she is annoyed by it and I want the companies to see that even people who normally would support it, find it to be annoying and overkill.

another men's cancer issue that I dont see discussed often is the cancers caused by hazardous workplace chemicals........my maternal grandfater died of colon and lung cancer.........he smoked for like 10 years but I dont think and none of my family thinks thats what got him.......we hypothesized that since he was a homebuilder in the late 50's to mid 70's lead based paints and asbestos did it

this would disporportionally effect men rahter than women I think
