If a woman ever insisted on doing this for me, I would say "Sure, let's have our next date at the police station. We can have background checks done on each other. You do believe in equality, don't you? Then, just to be on the safe side, subsequent "dates" can involve the two of us seeing a shrink together for complete psychoanalyses, having polygraphs done with questions we each submit for each other, having credit reports done, and having blood tests and such to see just how promiscuous you have been, Babe.

I would maybe understand a single mother checking up on a guy before letting him move in with her, she has her kids safety to consider, but to do so before even dating, well that's just assuming that most men are up to no good.

With the amount of women who write to prisoners on a regular basis, I wouldn't be surprised if they were hoping he had a criminal record, think about it, when it comes to getting her hands on his dosh, it's easier to paint him as bad if he already has a criminal record.
