B.C. teacher not guilty of sex with student

Not enough evidence, Supreme Court judge rules

A former British Columbia school teacher accused of sexually assaulting a Grade 7 student has been found not guilty on all charges.
Deborah Ashton faced five charges in connection with an alleged two-year affair, which the Crown had argued started in 2002 when the boy was 12 years old and Ashton was 37.
In her ruling, B.C. Supreme Court Justice Alison Beames said while the relationship between Ashton and the student went far beyond a teacher-student or coach-student relationship and there could have been a sexual relationship, there was not enough evidence to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

If anyone should read the comments,you will see the double standard's toward's this poor poor woman and having her name all over the press toward's the effect of having her life ruined because of it.

Well,if i was going to say something that CBC would actually allow, it would be along the lines of;

Just because she is not guilty,doesn't mean she is innocent.

Or does this only apply when the gender's are reversed?

I just love the double standard of the comments.
Poor girl has her life ruined because her name was put in the press,yet when this type of thing happens to men,the feminist regime finds it perfectly acceptable in ruining his life.
How does it go? "he can learn from the experience".

Nice president set. How much evidence do they need? If they take the word of a girl stating she was in a sexual relationship with her male teacher as gospel, where does that leave the boys who accuse a female teacher of sexual misconduct? According to the feminists, right were he should be. A second class citizen.

Why is full disclosure to the press a problem?

It was feminist's that demanded that men accused of rape be named and shamed before any evidence of guilt was confirmed.

Now it's a problem because it is a woman accused?

It is a proven fact that men are the only sexual beasts for the judges distorted view of justice. Had the boy been older, it was likely he to be the guilty party for seducing the teacher. sigh!
