What is 'misandry' and what is 'anti-misandry'?
Misandry is the hatred of males as a sex, as opposed to misogyny, the hatred of women; or misanthropy, hatred of the human species. Misandry comes from misos (Greek μῖσος, "hatred" + andr-ia (Greek anér-andros, "man&quot. Those holding misandric beliefs can be of either sex. Thus it holds to common sense that Anti Misandry is to work toward removing misandry from our culture.

Can you give me some demonstrations of misandry?
Sure. Have a look at the second-wave feminist view of men for an example. Valerie Solanas, the radical feminist who shot Andy Warhol in 1968, provides a famous example of misandry in her self-published SCUM Manifesto. In case you're wondering, SCUM is an acronym for 'Society for Cutting Up Men', practically a call for gendercide, the culling of men. Quite literally, Solanas expressed her desire to "institute complete automation and destroy the male sex."

Wow, this is pretty bad stuff - what can I do about misandry? For one thing, you can stop accepting it as a 'way of life'. Once upon a time, respect was a two-way street. These days it is more a one-way street where men are demanded to be respectful to women (even those who do not earn, or even try to earn it) while simultaneously disrespect of men is expected, condoned, perpetuated and even taught. You can make a difference by refusing to live this way.

Did you just say misandry is 'taught'? Yes, that's right! The next time you switch on the television, count how many programmes have the token 'stupid boyfriend' or 'abusive husband' or 'paedophilic father' figure. Switch over to a children's channel / time window and watch how many cartoons or programmes reflect 'silly daddy' characters or 'bullying big brother'. Don't forget, of course, nearly all the women in these same programmes will be smart, sexy, sassy and full of beans, capable of juggling a career lifestyle with children, a husband and a social circle - let's not forget that she's undoubtedly a wonderful cook and always remembers everybody's birthdays. If these images are being constantly spread out over our airwaves, what does that tell our children who are growing up watching & learning daily, hourly, that men are just so stupid, abusive and ... well, useless?
    definition of feminism
So is it more feminism's fault, or the media's fault?
A lot of both, but neither would be able to indoctrinate our youth without the support of.... the government.

Ahh - yes. The government. Tell me about their involvement?
Well, they positively support and enforce feminist programmes of anti-male bias.

Uh? Think 'Violence Against Women Act' - notice something wrong in that? Notice how violence against men or children is not mentioned? VAWA implies, through it's title alone, that men are the primary perpetrators of violence - despite 30 years of research and in excess of 130 scientific studies proving that intimate partner violence is roughly mutual. Time and time again, the results say the same "men and women are equally violent towards one another". And yet, when feminists demand preferential treatment or additional 'rights', the government promptly delivers, like a good boy.

Well hear we are, back at the beginning of the debate. Do we want equal opportunities for all or do we want equal outcomes for all?

The U.N. released a report that said the latter is what the world should strive for. I know this sounds like communism… Well it is communism, but apparently its for a good cause. It’s for the benefit of women. It’s not fair that they would be expected to perform the same as men. They often decide to stay home and raise children, and why should that affect their bottom line? Why in the world would anyones decisions have to change the outcome or solvency of someones lifestyle.

You think maybe I’m exaggerating? Nope. Here’s another quote.

“We must go beyond creating equal opportunities to ensure equal
outcomes,” the report says. “‘Different treatment’ may be required to achieve real equality in practice.” This report, called Progress of the World’s Women 2015–2016,

I wonder how far this should go? Should we ensure that the decision to not go to College or University has no affect on a persons life outcome. It’s really not fair to stop someone from
becoming a programmer just because they never went to school ...

(Why are you looking for news coverage? What do you want us to know? How is your story of the public’s interest? Who is involved? What is visual?)

The issues 1/2 the human race faces from cradle to grave.
We can start at the cradle end of things with male genital mutilation, (mgm) not just some small cut. That cut removes about 1/3 to 1/2 of the adult penile skin, 4 feet of blood vessels, 240 feet of nerves and about 20,000 nerve endings. In Canada female genital mutilation is illegal why is the male version still legal?
If mgm is ok for religious reasons then why isn't it the same for fgm?
(any alteration of a female's genitals, why aren't we offering the same protection for our sons?)
{(3) For greater certainty, in this section, ``wounds'' or ``maims'' includes to excise, infibulate or mutilate, in whole or in part, the labia majora, labia minora or clitoris of a person, except where
    (a) a surgical procedure is performed, by a person duly qualified by provincial law to practise medicine, for the benefit of the physical health of the person or for the purpose of that person having normal reproductive functions or normal sexual appearance or function; or
    (b) the person is at least eighteen years of age and there is no resulting bodily harm.
    (4) For the purposes of this section and section 265, no consent to the excision, infibulation or mutilation, in whole or in part, of the labia majora, labia minora or clitoris of a person is valid, except in the cases described in paragraphs (3)(a) and (b). }

On the grave end of things we have men dying about 5 years earlier than women yet we spend more on women's healthcare.

We can then move on to the suicide situation for men, they make up about 76% of all suicides with disturbing peeks at the 20 yrs old age and again around 40-60 age range. Guess burying our sons and fathers at a rate of 8 per day in Canada and around 3 per day in Ontario is ok? The government has known about these numbers for sometime even
commissioning a paper in 1995 about male suicides but it fell on deaf ears. Last time I checked the Canadian Mental Health Association had 11 papers for women's mental health and only 1 for men.

The Ontario government spent 142 million dollars on abused women's shelters and yet where is the other half of the abused population supposed to go for services and sanctuary? To a homeless shelter? Thought S. 15 & 28 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms mandated equal treatment and services. And if the powers that be are relying on S 15.2 of the Charter to explain the discriminatory practices given men have no services would that not make them the disadvantaged demographic?

Why do the rates run from $90 per bed per night to $575.00 per bed per night?
Why has the abuse industry failed to create standards and criteria for admissions instead of justifying the money already allocated?

Don't you think the taxpayers deserve some answers?

An advocacy group in Ottawa has inflated rates of female DV victims while erasing male DV victims and yet they are not called out for it? Repeatedly.
    See attached videos

Why are they still receiving govt funding?
Why is prof Holly Johnson still considered a statistical expert by the University of Ottawa?
Shouldn't the taxpayers know this is how they are incurring debt? (due to professional negligence. So much for the duty of care owed by said professionals)

Why are we still offering women bursaries and grants when they already make up the majority of the post secondary education population?

Why is it a male has no choice other than to pay or go to jail when sex results in conception?
Is it not 50% of his DNA that went into conception? His body his choice to become a parent or not? Why can't he be offered the choice of legally waving his rights and responsibility to the possible child in the same time frame the mother has to physically abort the pregnancy?
Wouldn't that be an equal choice to parenthood?
And does sex always indicate consent to parenthood and if so why is a choice only offered to 1/2 the human race?

Why was my 75 mile trek pretty much completely ignored by almost all of the news agencies listed here?
Do they not care about are (ugh typo) sons and fathers?

I can talk about all of this for about an hour of (damn typos) 5 minutes and answer questions on this short list of topics and more.

I, Dan Perrins, have ended my hunger strike, as of today, Saturday May 16th at 3:00PM here at the Canadian Centre for Men and Families. Many of you have supported me throughout this period while some have questioned my motivation and goals. So let me offer some reflection.
My decision to begin my hunger strike was not taken lightly. It was a decision I came to at the end of my 120 km walk from Dundas, Ontario to Queen’s Park as I considered what I could do next for those in need. It was motivated out of a deep sense of injustice at the lack of social support for men. I know this well as I am a victim of PTSD brought on by abuse and trauma. When I needed help there was nothing for me. I hoped that a shocking act like a hunger strike might firstly jolt people out of their complacency and secondly, earn a commitment from our government to open the province’s first shelter for male victims of abuse.
I end my hunger strike having made a real breakthrough in opening up a frank discussion about ...

Dan's Hunger Striker from Queen's Park in front of Ontario's legislative assembly continues. Now on Day 6, Dan reports that he is feeling OK, but is a bit tired and will look at shoring up his body with a multivitamin supplement.

Despite wide support from the public on his walk, whom Dan reports as being fully aware that male suicide was a serious issue, the politicians he has encountered thus far in his protest have been entirely dismissive. Any attempt to engage them has apparently been shut down immediately with a universal response of "not interested", despite Dan reporting that it would be easier to get shelter from abuse for his dog Jeb than it is as a man. Speaking of Jeb, a number of anonymous allegations claiming Dan is mistreating Jeb (who is well fed, watered and exercised at the present time) have been made, no doubt with the aim of having Dan removed (so far without success).

To re-iterate, Dan has stated that he will end his hunger strike when assurances are made that men in Ontario will receive equal funding ...
