Yes, I know, most if not all of the people who visit this site will defend the “Rock / Pop industry” to their dying breath, even though this industry has been used to help bring about the decline in morals in the Western World.

However, let the truth be stated.

Rock has always been the devil`smusic, you can’t convince me that it isn’t. I honestly believe everything I’ve said - I believe rock and roll is dangerous.

The very term: “Rock and Roll” means “Fornication”
In 1951 when this new music came onto the scene, it was called by different names, boogie woogie, rhythm and blues etc.

However, none of these terms seemed to “Hit the spot” a DJ. named Allan Freed, who worked on a Cleveland Ohio radio station, went down into the ghetto area of Cleveland Ohio and asked them what they called this kind of music.

“Rock and Roll” they replied, “Due to the fact that we commit fornication and or adultery to the beat of the music, many times in the back seat of a car, so we rock and roll.”

Allan Freed returned to the radio station used the term and the rest as they say “Is history.”

Why are you playing witch doctor`s music ?
It was in the early 1970`s when my sisters arrived in Kalamantan, Barat, Indonesia, where our parents are serving as missionaires with R.E.M.U. International with them they had brought a contempory Christian record which was the “In thing” in Canada they said.

They were playing the record one evening, when an older national Christian stopped by the door to my sister’s astonishment his immediate question was, “Why are you playing witch doctor’s music, by which they call on satan ?”

To the national who had left the old heathen practices which included the witch doctor, it was hard to explain why Christian young people in the churches who had sent out the missionary to teach them the way of salvation and separation from the world, could even begin to listen to that kind of music.

I was there when this incident happened and am writing now to verify it.

The Eagles.
One of the top songs of the 1970's was “Hotel California” by the Eagles.

Most people have no idea the song refers to the Church of satan, which happens to be located in a converted hotel on California street.

On the inside of the album cover, looking down on the festivities, is Anton Lavey, the founder of the Church of satan and author of the satanic Bible.

People say, the Eagles aren't serious, they're just selling records.

That's what you think. The Eagles manager, Larry Salter, admitted in the Waco Tribune-Herald, (28th February 1982) that the Eagles were involved with the Church of satan.

Without music, society would have been screwed years ago.
Now, from a musicians point of view, most music these days is based upon religious modes and scales, from the 1700's, all genres of music are just a slight variation on a theme.
Different rthyms and placement of notes on a score is what determines the style.
Music is entertaining (ever seen a live band?), music is relaxing, music brings like-minded folks together, but best of all, music is what you make of it and you can make your own , it doesn't have to be complicated.

Christianity is a tool of immoral former segregationists who co-opted a halfway peaceful cult into militancy. It has been the cause of hundreds of thousands of deaths in it's time, and looks to be shooting for more, seeing as how the war mongers are mostly fundie christian.

Rock and roll is a style of music formed upon the enjoyment of this world, but which now encompasses many subjects and creeds. Rock and roll has never burned, hung, or dismembered anyone.

And the bible says nothing about drugs, unless you are refering to the book of mormon. So I don't know why you pot those quotes in there. Illegal drugs are mostly medicinal substances that were arbitrarily outlawed due to their being popular with ethnic minoriteis at the time, particularly blacks and latinos. Drug laws were a way of controlling these people withou having to pass more race sepcific legislation. They are now kept illegal due to extensive lobbying and campaign donation from pharmacutical companies and beer companies, who don't want a safer and more enjoyable medicinal or recreational substance surpassing the products they push on us with the government's help.

AC/DC was up-front with their fans when they made it clear that they not only found their fame in a rock band by satan's power, but that they desired to drag their listeners into eternal damnation with them.

The interviewer asked:
Many metal fans are of the opinion that Christians should not be allowed to use the black metal esthetics musically since they do not inherit this evil and perhaps misanthropic (Antisocial) trait that many people say is necessary in order to be convincing as black metal musicians. What is your opinion on this matter ?

I totally agree !

If you want to be a Christian, be it with all you've got, and if you want to be metal, be it with all you've got.

If those people really took their faith seriously, and followed the instructions of the One they profess to believe in, they would never be found in a context like that.

They are on collision course with Christian life and teaching, Rockmusic, Metalmusic has nothing at all to do in a Christian setting !

Don't even THINK of bringing Iron Maiden into this discussion, buddy. Read and watch their documentaries, and you'll see that they're a bunch of just good-old-fashioned eccentrics who do their stuff for the theatricality, NOT for satanism. In fact, Maiden highlights the ignorance of YOUR kind, considering so many Americans of the religious right tried burning their LPs without even reading the damn lyrics! ("Number of the Beast" is about the attraction of the dark side, despite the "rational" desire to go against it. And why would the dark side be so attractive? Maybe because society itself does not always owe up to its Manichean ontologies?)

Check your bull, buddy. Condemning rock and roll is not much different from condemning literature like banned books. Don't go there.

Absolutely anything in this world (including the symbol of a Christian cross or church, for example,) can be used as a tool of, or vehicle of, evil. It's all in the mind, intent, behavior of the person, not inherent in the vehicle that delivers the bad intent.
