Due to limited responses, I've discussed with relevent members the situation and come to a slight amendment with regards this competition.

Both Factory & bulldogo.1 are the proud owners of Thomas Ellis's book "The Rantings of a Single Male", which shall be shipped in the very near future.

I'd ask that you both pm or email me with a physical address...else obviously you won't receive the prize

Congratulations to you both, super results.

And virtue - we're really sorry you missed out on this occasion, it wasn't because of the lack of quality to your post but rather the lack of response and willingness to review it when requested.

I enjoyed reading your rant, but it was akward having to shoot back & forth between pages and then up & down to follow it through.

For those interested, I might look into doing a similar competition in the near-ish future. Perhaps another book, I don't know yet. It will be something discussed with other Admins in time. Keep your eyes open

Thanks very much for the kind words Karl and many thanks to you for the opportunity to win The Rantings of a Single male. Special thanks to Thomas Ellis for his kind words about my rant and for giving his time and a signed copy of his book. I have been trying to get my hands on this book for a while, but it doesn't seem to be available in Australia.
Karl, as I know that you would just be a regular bloke and probably struggling with child support etc. I would be quite happy to help out with the postage costs if you like.
Congratulations to Factory for his fine rant and winning a book. The points you raised were right on the money and hopefully will be a wake up call to other men.
Commiserations to Virtue. Your rant also raised very important aspects of the problem of feminism and women in general.

PS Where do i send my address? I can't find an email address on the site.

Hi bulldogo.1,
you're very welcome with regards all. The person to discuss postage with would Mr. Thomas Ellis himself, not I, as the books are coming directly from him - not me, clearly though, i appreciate the kind offer.
With regards the email address, if you look directly below this post - or any of my posts, for that matter - you will find a hyperlink which when clicked, shall set you on your way to emailing me.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I don't fancy myself much of a writer, and normally wouldn't enter this type of contest, but I had to this time. Quite frankly, it's because I really want to read that book - and here in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada I can't get that book by any means. Internet booksellers are great, but useless when you're bankrupt (no CC), and the local booksellers wouldn't even look it up to see if I could order it somehow...not one of them would even try.

So it is with obscene pleasure that I gratefully accept the book, and I promise to lend it out frequently.

Side note: In regards to "women" vs "feminist" I can only say this: It has been my observation that while the basis for these thoughts come from feminist thinking, it can indeed be said that women in general tend to act this way. Just as in the past good men could be said to genuinely feel a woman's place is in the home (which as I understand it was actually the origin of the oft misquoted phrase), good women today do not see the prejudice in thier own daily lives.

The books are on their way, and should arrive in Canada and Australia within a few days.

It should be available in Barnes and Noble now... but then, that won't be necessary in your case!

Hope both of you enjoy the rants, and that you will offer your own reviews of my work!

Cheers,

rantmeister

Thanks

Thanks very much for the book rantmeister, I was beginning to think I would never get to read it. I can't find it anywhere in Australia and have had the same problems as factory with trying to get it ordered in.
I will do my best to get everyone I know to read it too and hopefully, if enough people request it, you might get some sales here.
Once again, thanks, I really appreciate it. Once I've read it I'll post my thoughts on it here.

My review: For T.E.'s book, The Rantings of a Single Male:

My review for Thomas Ellis' book:

The Rantings of a Single Male

Thomas's Ellis' book is a must read trek through the life of an ordinary man from college to the work place. It brings to the attention of its reader the oddities and often subjective nature of political correctness and more specifically feminism.
This isn’t purely based on empirical evidence alone, Ellis frequently refers to government resources or news items that can be easily googled for confirmation. Ellis relies on humour to express some of his less appealing memories, such as the wonderfully detailed “Horse’s Head” episode. These recollections, along with some of the analogies he uses, give this book some truly belly-shaking laughter moments.
Ellis openly discusses the sexual side of his life, without relying on ‘shock’ or unnecessary details, instead showing sexuality from a male perspective at a mental level and his own thoughts on women’s sexuality – such as ‘rape fantasy’.
The Rantings of a Single Male also asks many questions, and those that aren’t asked directly – you ask yourself anyway, having been led by Ellis’ magnetic use of language. The book itself probes your own memories and you may find yourself believing you are reading your own thoughts that you were too scared to utter for fear of female scolding. It will awaken your mind to recollections that are, in today’s gynocentric society, effectively unthinkable. This truly is an astounding book that will have feminists foaming at the mouth in hate, because Ellis is no longer concerned with being politically correct or a women-firster. Ellis is a people-firster.
What helps bring this book together is its no-guile approach and general layman’s terminology, making it a not-so taxing read no matter which social congregation you fall within. Ellis has no need to rely on unpronounceable words to get his point across. It’s short, it’s honest and it makes a pleasant, easy read.

Great! I'm gonna post it, too!

Not only do I love your rant on political gorunds, I think your rant exemplifies the power of the "Four Key Questions" that, in one form or another, are found in most forms of congitive therapy.

What do I want? The first question is, "What do I want?" - from my job/wife/kids/life/me...! Can be a hard fucking question, eh?

Great rant!

When dealing with Feminists, no2fembots sez, "Stop being such an asshat and grow some 'nads, boy!"

Thanks for the kind words. On a related note, I received my copy and have almost finished it (no small feat when working 77 hours/week). Excellent read, and ALL of the guys I work with want to read the book. I'm thinking I should save up and get three or four more copies...mostly because I don't want to lose my signed copy.

This book is the leading edge of a sea change, and a signed copy is too good to loan out.
