I gave you a bad rep point cause I really wasnt agreeing with what you were saying on another thread, no need to make a thread about losing rep, if you dont like the reputation thing do what bola said - disable it, simple.

I actually think they're a pretty good & handy system. It's a good way to get some feedback and see how much people agree with you or not (instead of posting one-line posts such as "I agree with you" in the thread itself, which just pollute the thread, without contributing anything).

Mind you, I'm not in favor of forbidding the short "I agree with you" posts in the threads, all I'm saying is the rep system is a good way of channeling a lot of those comments out of the thread and directly to the person they're intended to in the first place. So, it's a win-win for both sides:

- people reading threads, who don't have to struggle through pages of thread before finding actual responses with some substance
- those who concur/object with something written in the thread and don't wish to elaborate or derail the thread with their opinion, but do wish to let the member know, what they think about his/her post

I have seen many of your comments sounding feministic. I have never gave you bad rep. I would rather comment and give you a chance to explain then just tack on a negative rep.

Many females accept feminist ideas though they appear to be non-feminist. I don't think it's fair to sit back and count the negative comments and then one day just unload them at someone.

The way I see it is that I am as damaged as the next person. Feminism has affected my life also. And I can't be any more than I am until I learn more.

I can't and won't tell people what they want to hear so I can't see the point why I have to have a number beside my aviator. (But I am going to disable it as Bola explained how). And yes, it catches my eye and out of curiosity I look to see someone's opinion of me. It is MY profile so I take it personally.

Last year I had never written to a politician, I had never made complaints through the Human Rights Commission and I had never expected to be mixing with people who work at Universities and the like. Plus I had never written a submission and I hadn't held meetings nor been a speaker in front of a crowd. All new. All I can do is learn more and get better at doing things and expand on the things I have done.

But I have 2 sons and no daughters. As much as I want the best for them, I have to appreciate and understand that other parents have daughters.

ALL parents want the best for their children. As far as I am concerned ALL daughter and ALL sons should have a fair shot. Neither gender needs to be above, under, abused by the other, neglected, discriminated against and so forth. And besides that, what can I help change today and what can't I? What do I have control/power of and what don't I?

Sure I sound like a feminist to you. But to them I sound like a masculinist. I am an equalist I suppose. I seem to listen, actually I do listen to both sides because that is fair and just. To listen to only one side is being biased and that is where we have got to today.

Only one side has been cared for for decades. And all along some of the feminists expected bad things to come. They themselves did not want a movement of, "Girls can do anything". They wanted a movement, "Children can do anything". But the women who overpowered things were damaged from their own previous experiences and thus 'physical and spiritual death' surrounds us.

So now we should IMO go back to the drawing board and do it right. "Children can do anything" And besides, how many fathers do you think are out there who would allow their daughters to sacrafice for the young lost males of today?

Maybe if I had done things differently and learned about feminism first and them the males side I would not sound so scattered and like a feminist on a men's board. But I didn't do it right so I have a crash course with both at the same time.

Personally I would have liked to be kicked of the site last night. I don't want to be upsetting a men's side. And that is the truth. Maybe I need to be kicked away and left to stand on my own 2 feet alone. And build up from there. Confidence and fear is the only thing holding me back. I am sure if I wanted knowledge I could just google it.

Well I believe you genuinely want equality for both sexes. Though I don't think it's possible and affirmative action is wrong.

I don't consider you a lost cause and don't wish you to go your way.. What I meant in the last post was many women accept things from the PC world even if they hate feminism.
ie: acceptance of alimony and government intereference in marriages, distrubution of marital assets which mostly work to help women. Women accept these things as though they are fair until the courts demand a women pay then it's just not fair. Most women want to hold men to obligations while excusing themselves.

I hate when women jump on men about things they wouldn't dare say to women, it only reinforces my belief that women don't really want ekkalitee. They want to demand men do things and if you turn it around you get "You don't tell me what to do." It's similar to talking to smart mouthed children.

I'd be interested to know EXACTLY what some of you mean when you speak of believing in "equality" between the sexes?

I tend to look at it mostly from the physical level....and women just ARE NOT equal to men in that area!

We have a cycling race here in my city every year, where the cyclists have to go up and around a very steep hill called the Manayunk "Wall"; its a 17% gradient (those of you who are cyclists have incredibly achy knees right about now, after I mentioned that!)

The MEN have to go up and around TEN times. The female cyclists? Only FOUR. WHY IS THAT? I thought feminism was supposed to CHANGE this kind of sexism!! Why can't the women do TEN times, also??

As much as the fems claim that men and women are equal, we all know this will never be.
