PICTURE CAPTION Unless otherwise stated within the running competition...- * Caption competitions are open for one week, seven days, from the date on which it was posted. If I post an image on the 7th, it will close midnight GMT on the 14th.
* Entries are asked not to be too derogatory, eg. using profanities - unless it really does add humour to the caption. I, Karl, can get away with it though because I said so.
* You can offer as many captions as you like, either in multiple posts (within the same thread) or multiple captions within one post.
* Captions need to be as short & sweet as possible, else it loses humour quickly and often loses ground too.
* Feminists are barred from entering, because they have no humour - unless it involves bashing men.
* Quotes from other websites can be used, credit to authors is helpful though.
The competitions, whether they be 'just for fun' or with tangible awards (
such as the kindly donated "Rantings of a Single Male" book by Thomas Ellis) are effectively 'membership drives' too. So please, do feel welcome to put a link to this subforum on your blog or webspace, tell friends about it and generally anything that brings some positive light & contributors to the forum.
