You have the titular choice. If you go for being badly beaten up, you will have your nose broken, black eyes etc, which will obviously take a while from which to fully recover; but let's assume you will, after however many weeks or months, recover (i.e. no lifelong injuries).

If you're raped, you're raped in typical a manner; by one person, and, if you're female, let's assume the rape DOESN'T result in pregnancy.

If you're male, please state your choice for each hypothetical case of being raped by a woman (although, strictly speaking, the law doesn't recognise this as rape, but let's assume it does), and by another man.

Feel free to offer choices to extended hypothetical situations (i.e. "I'd rather be raped than be badly beaten up, and, in fact, would even rather be raped than be more mildly beaten up").

Obviously, it's hard to say, if one hasn't been both badly beaten up and raped, but what do we suppose we'd find less traumatic in the long-term? Personally, I'm going to go with being raped; most fucking definitely by a woman, and even by a man. I am not sensitive mentally, so much, and do not see my sexuality as being something sacred, that I could suffer from which supposedly being abused. It may be hard to say, being as I've never been raped, but then, touch wood, I've never been badly beaten up, either. I can't imagine being remotely traumatised by being raped by a woman, and imagine I'd feel more disgusted and angry, rather than traumatised, were I to be raped by a man. It may sound strange, but this is how I generally feel.

It will be interesting to see what people's responses are, and as to how they compare between the genders (not that we have many females here).

Both are violations of the body, but being beaten causes severe physical injuries, and being forced to perform some sex act does not.

Being forced to dance or sing doesn't cause any physical injures either. Its not much of a rational choice.

I would definitely go with being beaten up badly. I would not want to be raped by a man as the experience would be revolting, humiliating (which is supposed to be the point, at least in part, I guess), and possibly dangerous in terms of disease.
