Where I work has been transformed most managers are women.Most staff are women.
Some separate offices are totally women.I have had many bitter experiences in the past.
They can be as abusive as they like,yet so much as a stern word from me I know I would be cited for harrassment. They can get long absences from work and return any time; the whole establishement is top heavy with beuaracracy, interminable meetings.Absurd health and safety rules.They have a whole department devoted to "inclusiveness".
I want a job away from women I hate working with them. There are businesses that are started by women employing only women .They are hailed in the media as trail blazers...you know the drill.Men in their own businesses must be wrong.These are refered to as male dominated,they are persecuted by state parasites, equality commisars.
I would to start an independant mens college offering Mens studies.There is a real need for men to start organising against the equality commission- and demand that they be disbanded.In any case I dont want to work with women. I dont think men and women should be in the same workspace as a rule.It is just a minefield.We need to tell politicians -our patience just ran out. :?

I've worked in a few 'female-dominated' places myself, and there is a huge difference in working styles - as preferred by managers - between female and male dominated work places.

The female occupied ones tend to rely on bitching, backstabbing, lying and rumours to upset whoever they want to that day. The ones occupied largely by men tend to get on with it, but if there is a fall out - it gets resolved a LOT quicker. It's short, sharp and ended.

I used to work for a very large UK insurance co. and they had such problems with their women only personal insurances dept. (bitching, crying, arguments, tantrums, "I won't sit there anymore" etc.) they(the company) were very relieved when they where merged with our 50/50 motor insurance dept.

Some of the more sensibile women who became friends, would tell us some of what had gone on...

They even had a 3 hour conversation which brought the entire dept. to a standstill on the subject of hubby/partner's penis size! It resulted in 2 women bursting in to tears and one going home for the day!

One woman made another member of the dept. a cat-food pie at a dinner party because she was flirting with her hubby.

The same women (recipient of the pie), punched a friend of mine in the face at a party because he would not sleep with her! Within 2 weeks she had announced her engagement to a bloke from head office! True love - I guess.

Hey Brad, what kind of work do you do? What are your qualifications? I ask only out of curiosity. I understand your desire to work away from women and self-employment may be the answer. Doing what, exactly?

Myself, I have a staff of eight. There is a total of 3 men and 6 women altogether. I am an unabashed patriarch and brook no opposition to my rule! I do not, have not and never will hire a female with feminist leanings. Thus, our working environments (three locations) are pretty smooth with very little typical female office crap behaviors. I must say, however, that part of the reason the behaviors are minimized is due to my understanding such behaviors exist and counter them using a cognitive behavioral approach. Works for me.

Last point: single sex work places lose out IMHO. It takes extra work, but a mixed workplace can be great!

I am already considering self employment.For obvious reasons I cant say too much.They are very media savvy!Could end in court....
Looking at my post I realised it does not mention there are good women of course -some are fine, but where I am and have been the laws just favours them totally ... so that it is very hard to trust em.
Being a full blooded male I have also had to curb the libido.Asking them out is hazardous too!Sick sad and sorry times we are in!

I can say I've only asked one woman out in my adult life - and it sounds big headed of me to say this, but I've alwasy just patiently waited for women to come me instead. It sounds peculiar, perhaps, but the idea I had was that only ones who were genuinely interested would approache - saves me doing the filtering

Karl, ya, I've always been like you when it comes to the dating scene. It is a great filter! Brad, I'd love to talk more about the psychology at a future time. I have no computer at home as I live in a hand built cottage out in the sticks on 163 acres and must do all my internetting at my office. And, we have a statutory holiday this Monday: apparently we are a sovereign nation, but we are still British subjects... it is Victoria Day on the 22nd! What a pissant country is canada...

I can definately relate to this Brad, I work in an office too and there are women everywhere.

I can't stand listening to this shit that women are great at multi-tasking, they're harder workers, etc etc. They gossip endlessly, and the works stops when they do so (despite all this rubbish about multi-tasking.) I hate rushing about with deadlines and tonnes of work and all I see are secretaries and even senior female execs just standing around nattering or reading Heat magazine.

They take time off for trivial reasons too, and then there are the working mums. There are a lot of working mothers at our place and many come in at 10 and go at 3 or 4 (but get paid for 9 - 5). At a previous workplace, a smaller office, the woman in charge of the payroll was a single mother, and she was off all week once because her son was ill. Because of that we all had to wait an extra few days to get paid.

I can't stand this "strong independent woman" show they try to put on. There's one strident career girl fresh out of university with a degree in Business Studies. She's the sort of woman who goes on about how women are so great, better workers, much stronger emotionally than us mere men and all that rubbish. Yet she's only been there six-months and she's broke down crying on no less than three occasions; twice because of the workload and once for some stupid reason relating to her boyfriend. Then there's the catty and bitchy behaviour. There were two women at my last workplace who despised each other after one dated the other's ex-boyfriend. One hurled a childish insult to the other, who promptly went in to the toilets for a cry, and two other women had to go in and comfort her. They were there for half-an-hour! We were really busy in our department and three women are all out of action for thirty-minutes over some stupid bloody crisis.

Of course, there are some good women in workplaces. I used to have a female supervisor and she was great. On the whole, though, they ruin things, invariably with their sense of entitlement, the stupid dramas, and above all the way they can get away with all sorts of shit and not get sacked because of the worries of sex discrimination lawsuits.

And let's not even get started on many of my female colleague's inability to comprehend the concept of 'reasonably smart dress'. Big fat bums spilling over tight leggings, tits almost flopping out of boob-tubes, low slung trousers to display plenty of thongs and tramps-stamps...ugh.
