Someone close to me who is of considerable wealth is being divorced by his wife who is his financial inferior. I'm told that she is now fond of saying how she 'can do better'. My personal divorce story is similar.

I see this a lot - man of wealth meets women, shares wealth, woman grows dissatisfied. I have a hard time trying to think of any woman I know who has 'married down'. I'm reminded of nature documentaries where the male bird tries to stimulate the interest of the female bird by collecting shiny objects..

My question is this; are women hard-wired to find wealth attractive - and if so, why do they seemingly grow dissatisfied when they have finally found a wealthy partner?

The 'man of wealth' is a small portion of men. Most men simply work hard to make a reasonable living.

Most women marry these ordinary guys. They seek security, as is biologically driven, we are to suppose. They get divorced and screw the chap too.

The motives of these divorcing women are many, including boredom, antagonism, anger, guilt, greed, envy, revenge for real or imagined slight, etc. and the fact that they can. Women are encouraged to divorce. Men are not. If a woman seeks a divorce, the populus applaudes her 'brave' decision and supports her demand for 'compensation'; when a man seeks a divorce, he is villified and made to pay.

The mendacious mental and moral gymnastics one observes is on a par with the Cirque de Soleil.

I must admit that I do derive immense pleasure when I read the screams and howls when women have to part with their fortune i the divorce courts..

Who said "Want to get rid of alimony ? make women pay it".
Everything is just fine if a man has to pay and it's typical feminist hypocrisy.
