It depends on perspective. In the West, I think a case can be made that men and women have their own challenges.
This seems to be the reason things are not all inclusive. We still keep a division as if each sex and gender is unique.

Naturally, you will see the scenarios in your own gender. Women will see "Rape" in the first scenario, but as a man the first thing I noticed was that the man was killed by the Lesbians. So is death preferable to rape? Is the fact that a man died pertinent when you look at the context of the scenario? The woman may have been raped and beaten, but she lived according to the scenario. Who has it worse? Well, they both do.
Good point IMO. Yet it seems to me people lives change dramatically and they feel their life was taken just the same. My words are also meant for things like parents surviving their children being murdered.

Quote Quote from The Possible Human View Post
One of my friends recently had his name and address printed in a local newspaper in a "Name & Shame" article outing deadbeat parents. He isn't a father, nor do I think he will be anytime in the near future. He is Gay. He was given an immense amount of crap at work over the false publication of his name, He had a cop show up and threaten him with jail if he didn't pay up. He is now suing the paper, the police, the DCS for libel and a host of other stuff.
    This is terrible!!!!

Quote Quote from The Possible Human View Post
Ok, this is comical. Where are there hospitals with a lot of male nurses? (besides Military Hospitals)

In NZ nurses swap patients each day (as in rooms) so we get both the male and female nurses. There's still more female nurses.

Quote Quote from The Possible Human View Post
I'd like to see an actual case where a woman lost custody of her kids because her man violently abused her.

It happens all the time in western countries because child abuse is allowing a child to witness domestic violence. The most popular way around this is for women to go to refuges and boot camps so they learn to protect their children better. They can leave, but they can't take their children.

Anecdotal or any other ideographic date are admiisible evidences that 'show to' the issue.

There are terrible things going on between people all the time, but we must not be overcome by a lack of appreciation of numbers. The 'worse' situations are a very small proportion of all interactions, most of which are fine.

Only on very broad matters is gender an issue.
I don't understand why you wrote this. These are the issues on men's sites and in offline men's groups. These are issues that make for feminists and masculinists/masculists and there are worse stories on both sides.

I like many points made in comments and I'm going to come back to say so. This is kinda only part of a comment.

The scenarios you present are anecdotal and only represent the small number of people included.
Ah, but this small number of scenarios is what prompts change. Where once police told women who complained about abuse in the home to go and sort it out with her husband, they now take women's complaints seriously.

In turn, men are prompting police to take their complaints seriously. They sure hate having to be told "Man up", or laughed at because the police see women as helpless and unable to harm their male partners.

that occurs thanks to feminist inventions, such as the Duluth Model and Power Control Wheel, which uses sexism to sell the concept that only men abuse & only women are victims.

Now remember, the above PC Wheel was developed by feminists - and feminists are for equality of both sexes, which is precisely why they talk ONLY of men abusing women and use such terms as 'male privilege' while ignoring female privilege - because that IS equality in the mind of a feminist.

Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

    I agree 100% with you.
An MRA dropped pamphlets at high schools telling young men what they are in for which prompted worry from a government commission (last year) and so they brought mainstream established groups together to pursue support for men. They decided the government couldn't afford to have separate groups for men and women (everything) and so they are now placing men on the boards of women's refuges, child groups, maternity groups and so forth.

Many groups already have men on boards etc, like counselors, addiction, mental health, health, education - (though gays and lesbians have more than hetero-sexual men and women), churches ect.

It's going to take as long as it takes leaders to build IMO but at least it's happening.

Quite frankly no gender has it better than another, all though it may seem like it for now. Rest assured the time will come when women will regret the day that Feminism reared its ugly head in the name of equality. Does anyone think for one moment that men will remain in a state of completely apathy for eternity? If so you don't know men. Throughout history men have brought down governments, regimes and countries in the name of freedom. This time the battle is ours and ours alone, it is for men we fight and mark my words it will be won!!!

Re: Who has it worse? Men or women?

Who has it worse? Hmm, take a wild guess.

Only on a thread that is supposedly geared towards men would we even have this discussion. Of course this doesn't surprise me. What I notice, though, is a bit sinister, at least to me but in an insidious manner.

Do the same people that come on here to a discussion board where men are supposed to have a platform to address men's plights ask the same questions on places geared towards women? Or do these posters accept that women have it worse when they are on sites that discuss the plights of women?

It would appear to me that women are good chameleons, except, whether or not they identify themselves as feminists, they blend in a lot more in places geared towards women than they do here. This pseudo-egalitarian, pink elephant in the room is a threat that needs not to be ignored. What this is really doing is drawing attention away from men's issues exclusively and bringing women's issues to the inequation. Therefore there is no sole focus on men's issues.

If you can't put women's problems aside for 10 minutes to actually get a good understanding of the hostility and inequality that men face then you've got no business on a platform for men. I believe that is why places geared towards women either don't allow men or only selectively allow men. We would never see a man allowed to ask "who has it worse, men or women?" on a woman's site. The only way men would be allowed to have "input" on a woman's site is if he agreed with the consensus of the site.

Go to any woman's site or "gender studies" site that doesn't gear towards men and lets see how many times we see a poster, no less a woman, ask who has it worse. Also, if by some miracle we do find some variation of this lets see how many times the answer isn't "women" or some kind of pretended answer to save face. Better yet, lets see how many times our little buddy julie asks this same question on women's sites she posts on.

If the answer is zero or not applicable then this tells me that the only reason she posts questions like this on a supposed men's discussion board is to take our exclusive focus away from men's issues in order to make it about women too. Again, what makes this so sinister is that women's sites would never take exclusive focus away from women's issues to make it about men unless they were attempting to blame men for something.

Only on a men's site would we pretend that the issues men and women face could possibly be on equal footing. Does it matter who has it worse? Maybe

What absolutely matters is that no matter how badly men have it we don't have the same number of resources available to us because of our gender and because of our gender our issues are widely ignored.

Although there is a rare possibility that I am wrong in this case I believe that the real purpose of this thread is to highlight once again "how bad women have it too" and that the only reason men's issues are even included is because of the environment here. However, in the grand scheme of things, men's plights are but a footnote. I'm sorry, did I say footnote? I mean afterthought. Otherwise, instead of asking "who has it worse?" we'd be answering "how to make it better?".

Having a MRA drop off information for male high school students simply scared the hell out of the school administration and government. They realized if they were to confiscate the flyers, it would be seen as a violation of free speech and thought and would become a news issue they would have to deal with. By combining the groups together, they effectively neutralized a threat from the MRA's. I'd like to see more information on men serving on the boards for women's shelters, Et Cetera. I don't buy the "Kum By Yah" of the government combining the groups. I'm a skeptic when it come to governments.

With due respect, I think it's hypocritical to say, "women are wrong to write about women on this site" for I see lots of posts about women written by men. Allot of it is bitching or putting women down, but in saying this, there's also allot of posts about men's well being - wonderful to see.

I don't work with just men or just women and I never would because I don't think you'll fix anything this way. I write on my own site and I write about both separately sometimes and both together sometimes. Offline, I work with both men and women which means I am neutral and would say the same not only on a woman's website but in a group setting, meeting, ect amongst women.

The answer is obviously that feminism makes average men and beautiful women worse off by enabling the top men to shag a huge number of women, which results in the average man not being able to find a suitable mate(read not a slut) and it screws beautiful women by rendering them unable to secure the commitment of the top men.

How about you just find a mate or but pass for your real self. Guys like you really do give fathers a bad name and do an even greater disservice to men in general by trying to come to sites like this a pretending you abscond male misandry when all you promote is ugly chick mongering and even worse loose morals. Fuck off.

Well, yes, people like you are the reason why I stopped posting here. To begin with, I'm female. And secondly, by suitable mate, I meant suitable for marriage(boinking women that boink the top men isn't bad for the average man either, committing to a slut is the problem) and it is fairly obvious that the men who before married beautiful women still do it, but also have sex with other women.

I do appreciate that you didn't bother to show where I am factually incorrect. Also, I would like to point out that describing how things ARE doesn't imply anything about how I think things should be. It is called the is-ought fallacy. But again, your type of PMSing, lack of logical reasoning and general whining is the reason why I stopped posting here. Don't know why I thought this place changed. lol
