    I can remember some intellectual dick smoke claiming that Greece was the birthplace of democracy. To this day, Greece is still a shit hole. If that isn't proof that democracy fails then I don't know what to tell you.

    I think it was more like the first recorded history. But no one really cares about Greece after it became more than just a group of city-states.
