How dare UTAH UNI have more men?

Just because it's the ONLY University in the country that has more men than women. Clearly, female dominance in education is not just acceptable, but preferred! Meanwhile, male dominance is fought against using policies and blatant discrimination.
    Oh well..they're only men.
University of Utah Bucking National Trends in Gender Enrollment
    January 30th, 2006 @ 2:36pm
    FM 100's Jill Atwood Reporting

More women are attending college than men at most campuses in Utah, but one university bucks that trend.

It's a trend that goes against the national norm, more men than women going to the University of Utah. Why is it happening? Who knows? And what could it mean in the long term for women in Utah?

The difference is subtle and something you wouldn't notice just by walking on campus. But administrators know it's there and they're puzzled.

Men outnumber women at the U of U bucking a statewide, even national trend. Usually there are more women going for undergraduate degrees.

Lisa Bromley: "I think in Utah especially, a lot of women tend to get married younger and they start families younger, and so they put their families instead of their education first."

The university admits the cultural climate could be driving the gender gap, but they can't be sure.

Lisa Bromley: "The departments that appeal to women like education are much weaker than the departments that appeal to men, like engineering and medical and the law school, built up education probably see more women enrolling."

That's why they are considering all the possibilities, working to attract women and keep them. The U of U is studying this gender imbalance very closely and right now child care is the hot topic.

Fred Esplin, V.P. University of Utah Relations: "The university has an active daycare center right on campus, and we're thinking may be we need to increase that so that working mothers have a chance to drop them off on campus and go to school."

Administrators know to turn it around, they have to make it easier for women to go to school, as well as educate them on why they need a college degree. By the way, checking other Universities throughout the rest of the state, most are much more balanced and mirror the national trend of more women then men.

Right now the U of U is using research and creative recruiting methods to draw more women, even more scholarships especially for women.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.
Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

    What would be your ideal..

    results of the men's/anti-feminism/MRA movement?

I'm going to try & refrain from posting my own thoughts for the time being, but I would be keen to see some of the readers of this site (and others) to see what their objective or preferred outcome would be?

How long are you thinking it may take?

    Has feminism affected you personally?

Has feminism (or it's policies) affected a loved one or close friend in some manner?

Are you sick of man-bashing in the media?

Tired of the same old 'women get it worse' lines and made to feel pity for no reason, genitalia aside?

etc.? Ask yourself these questions, and more if you have things on your mind that you'd like to cover in this thread.

Apologies, the above post was mine , I forgot to log on
    Good questions , Karl
How long will it take ? I assume this means how long to eradicate feminism ? To be honest ,I really don't know . I think it may be a lomg struggle .
Has it affcted me personally ? Not as such , tho I have worked for a local authority , and am a trade union rep , and have been on "courses" where th bulk of the time has been spent rcognising and "challenging " sexist comments . After I have had this rammed down my throat itend to take things like "all men are bastards" knife blocks a bit personally .
I am sick of man bashing in the media , look at BBCs schedules last year . It was a disgrace .
And yes , I am sick to death of "women get it worse " lines .
I am afraid that feminism , coupled with a lousy marriage , hasmade me a little bit anti-woman . I know there are some decent women ,but sadly ,they are in the minority .

Thats the $60,000 question isint it. I see things such as a male birth control pill massivly affecting western culture in a manner we would like to see......but I also see the male birthcontrol pill being politically attacked by feminists (of course) and leftists groups. Add to the mix that a male birth control pill could potentially destroy the child support and welfare industries and you could run amok of serious governmental interference. Basically anything that would destroy one of our wonderful multi-billion dollar industries (spousal abuse, drug abuse, etc et al) will be HEAVLY opposed on all sides......No one wants a cure when selling the medicine is so freaking profitable.

Yes. Feminism is the cause of my high blood pressure. See answers below.

Are you sick of man-bashing in the media?
Yes. Just when I think I heard it all, and that I'm immune against thier mindless babbling, shaming, degrading and hate, media always manages to feature some moaning woman, who succeeds to produce some new work of art of absurdity, sooooo beyond any shred of common sense or justice, that I just can't help myself, it pisses me off; and I can't believe no-one bothers to challenge it, no, on the contrary, they're oh so happy to spread that shite around.

I'm sick of seeing things being put throguh dirt and spat on, just because the founder had a penis.

I'm sick of seeing lives of men destroyed just because some woman/girl says something.

I'm sick of people making this big joke out of violece againt men (mainly the crotch thing) while MILLIONS are getting spent on violence against women in the name of removing the so-called social acceptance behind it.

I'm sick of their "oh, but us women were prohibited from watching Olympic games in ancient Greece, so we deserve this privilege now. Plus, women weren't allowed to vote back then" line of reasoning.

Tired of the same old 'women get it worse' lines and made to feel pity for no reason, genitalia aside?
Yes, will it ever end for god's sake?!?!?!?! It's the tune the old cow died of. Especially because FACTS speak the opposite.

Any my preferred outcome? Basically to make it stop. Preferably all of it. But I'm realistic about it, so... the more the better.
