I've added a script to the forum that automatically greets new users.

Below is a snapshot I took of it to display how new members will see it upon registration. It's instantaneous and they're automatically directed towards it.



So, I post it here in the hopes that some of the community members here can give feedback and suggestions. I only spent some 10 or so seconds contemplating what should appear, but really I'd like a more 'global pool' of ideas.

For example, if you think it should direct them to a certain forum (such as the introduce yourself - a long with an invitation to make a post), then put it down as a reply... having said that, I'm going to do that now

But if you have any other ideas for the automated greeting, I'd like to hear them.
