.... wins the Melbourne Cup. By a hair on the end of his nose.
Just a few minutes ago.
Why mention it here?
It was trained by Bert Cummings. His 12th Cup Winner; an unrivalled record.
Who cares? What is it to do with men and men's rights?
It is the MAN.
Bert is probably the greatest horse trainer who ever lived. He has enriched untold numbers of people with his skill....... and he is allergic to horses.
He has to medicate himself every morning before fronting the stables.
This is dedication, discipline, focus.
Addendum:
I mentioned his 12th melbourne Cup win. His first was 50 years ago. He has 250 Group One wins all told.
