This really makes me angry....let me start this way.
In Germany both parents have the right to take up to 3 years of the so called "Elternzeit" (Parent-time). The state pays you 67% of what you earned before and you can stay at home to care for your children. When my cousin became a father he took 1 year off to care for his kid while his wife continued to earn money. The reason they did that was obvious. He works as a carpenter full time doing overhours a lot and earns less than his wife who is a teacher. So their kid has more time with both of his parents and they get more money.
Is she a bad mother for going to work and letting her husband to the job she is supposed to do?
Is he less of a man because he does his womens job?
No, they are working together as a team. Thats what parents supposed to do. Having seen him care for his son he is one of the most caring, loving Fathers I have ever seen. So is staying at home and caring for his son the hardest job for him? NO IT IS A
BLESSING....NOT A GODDAM JOB!!! It is stressfull at times but he
LOVES it.
The response to "Materninty leave for men" by this two blond nutjobs shouldnīt be this
feminist bullshit, but sth. like "Itīs great when our state helps to support
FAMILIES"
Seriously when our gouvernment tells my wife sth. like, your husband can take time off to be with you and your firstborn she is glad. Not complaining about how hard it is for the mother or that a man canīt do a mothers job....what is wrong with those blondes?
