Vasectomies and the law
I've heard that in some places a married man must obtain the permission of his wife before he can have a vasectomy. Is this true?

Re: Vasectomies and the law
Apparently this is the case in some US states, not all, the manipulated man is packed off, like a good little boy, with a note giving her permission to undergo the indignities of surgery to suit her needs. This means he has zero reproductive rights.
Lets face it, whether permission is required or not, this is what essentially happens. Of course, if the marriage falls apart and he meets someone new he, the manipulated man, will once again be packed off, like a good little boy, to undergo the indignities of an attempt reversal to suit her needs. Not that black and white I know, but very often the case.
Oh, I forgot to mention all the wonderful conversations she can have with her friends 'on how she had her husband fixed.'......just like a pet dog really.Last edited by pjanus; 3rd-August-2007 at 01:36 PM.
