    An unpleasant experience

I had a rather unpleasant experience this evening.

It happened during an evening walk (around 10:45pm), when I was walking down a secluded alley. It was pitch black - so dark that I was effectively temporarily blind.

I heard an unsettling noise - it sounded quite close - however, due to the darkness I couldn't see what was making the noise. Suddenly, an incredibly aggressive dog jumped at me seemingly from nowhere. I narrowly avoided being bitten.

The dog tried again to attack me, and I instinctively started running as fast as could in the opposite direction.

The speed at which I was running was very fast, however the dog decided to give chase, and he came very close to catching up with me. It was only when it's owner (somewhere in the distance) shouted "come back here", that it gave up.

I carried on running until I was a safe distance away. Thankfully the dog failed in it's attempts to bite me, however my sleeve was soaked in the dog's drool, which gives an indication of how close it came to succeeding.

This is the third dog attack that I have endured whilst out and about, during the past few months. I've also had a drunken idiot shout at me "you're a fucking c*nt", and a teenage boy call me a "wanker".

And feminists try to frame street harassment as something which affects only women.

We need a law against darkness. There should be no place that a man walks that he should be unsafe.

Dark allyways. You are a brave fellow, Frosty. They are best avoided.

It reminds me of the American chap walking down a pitch black alleyway in Belfast one dark night. He felt hard steel barrel pushed against his back and a boozy breathed voice in his ear demanded to know "Are yuz Cat'lic or Prodesdant?". He though quickly about IRA terrorists and Ulster Nationalist terrorists and replied, "I'm Jewish".

The voice eased a tad and said, "bejesus Oi must be the luckiest PLO liaison agent in the city."

Dogs are a real worry these days you must be pretty fit to outrun the fiend Frosty boy.
What about pepper spray?this is illegal in the uk incidentally.
Hah Percy there are many more like that one.
and its republican terrorists and loyalist terrorists BTW.lol

...I in my life had to worry about both sets of thugs above ,dogs and feminism.
Is it any wonder I am paranoid/
    Or that I drink?

So Frosty Boy I know only too damn well what a hostile world it is for men. Scary for women, of course there are scumbags who will perve and rape etc. noone denies this.
Generally though most victims of violence are men.
feminism is a disease the Doc is working on a cure. Symptoms include compulsive liar, constant aggression, allergic to logic, often affects women who are fat with short hair and big earings, but can be normal looking.
Reason tablets three taken daily. If the sufferer displays shaming tactics double the dose. Remarkably the illness disappears in disaster zones.

Yeah, be careful if you're out late by yourself. Learn some defensive moves, maybe carry pepper spray or something

The experience was surreal. I didn't actually make a conscience decision to run for it, instead it was simply an instinctive reaction (I genuinally feared for my life).

When I initially heard the noise prior to the attempted attack, the first thought that entered my mind was that it could be a psycho lurking in the bushes.

Perhaps this was because when I was out walking at night near the same alley a few weeks ago, I thought I saw a face looking in my direction amongst some bushes. With hindsight, I'm pretty sure that it was just my eyes playing tricks on me in the dark (which happens quite often), however I did hear rustling coming from the bushes.

I've definitely learnt my lesson - no more walking down poorly lit, secluded alleyways after dark.

    Re: An unpleasant experience

Earlier today I parked my bike up by the local river and sat upon it munching fish n chips smothered in curry sauce - yummy. I sat watching a mom & dad playing ball with their toddler, who was a delight to hear cackling and snorting with joy as she chased the ball from mom to dad back to mom to dad. The river to my side had a pleasant trickle sound, with occasional splashes and gloop sounds. The sun was beating down hard, still at 8pm (ish). And the many children played on the park bars and swings, chattering away as they do.
    Such a nice day.
A group of chavs... young people came and loitered by me. "Oi, mate, how fast does that go?" said one of the hoolig... young chaps.
I responded "Well, 'mate', I haven't pushed it to the limits - so I'm not sure... but I've got 115mph on a good day so far."
I was not comfortable with them around me. I over-heard them talking about going up behind someone and starting a fight with them. I wasn't sure, but I did get the concerns that go along with over-hearing such things, that they may have been referring to me...
I felt the blood pressure change, the heart beat too, even the alertness of my ears; due to having my back to them. I found myself inspecting the mirrors from both sides, tilting my head a little to garner extra soundwaves, and my throat felt tighter as did my chest.
The natural reactions our bodies undertake when we experience fear and such is quite amazing... I beleive if it were not for our intelligence as a species - we'd have been wiped out long ago. We can't run fast, we can't use our mouths to slice open a jugular, we can't use fingers to stab... but, we can make weapons to defend ourselvs with, and to hunt with.

Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Yippee - I'm glad it offends, they should try to move out of that class.
