Shooting on university campus
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
- At least one hurt in shooting at University of Alabama in Huntsville
- Police say female shooter is in custody
- Authorities still searching campus' Shelby Hall
(CNN) -- Three people were killed and three were wounded Friday in a shooting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a city official said.
A female shooting suspect was in custody, said Trent Willis, chief of staff for Mayor Tommy Battle.
Of the six casualties, five were faculty members, and the sixth was a staff member; no students were among the victims, Willis said.
"We do have some witnesses," he said.
The sweep of the building was complete by 6 p.m., he said.
A spokeswoman for Huntsville Hospital said it had received three patients in critical condition from the shooting.
School spokesman Ray Garner said the incident occurred about 4 p.m. in Shelby Hall. Residence halls were locked down at 4:10 p.m.; the building was secured by 5:45 p.m., he said.
The 6-year-old, $60 million facility houses the Chemistry Department and is named for U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama and his wife, Dr. Annette Shelby.

If we were Feminists and the shooter were male, we would be using this lone freak tragedy to drive home the "fact" that we live in a culture that widely condones "patriarchal violence."

A public shooting by a woman is rare for 'various' practical reasons, one primarily being the law sides with her irrespective of facts and evidence pertaining to a case or events that effect her.
Bottom line, a woman doesn't need to go postal as the system is heavily stacked in her favour. The state IS her gang and jack-booted enforcers!
She can effectuate all her goals via proxy puppeteering of gullible males in social and political realms.
She doesn't need to get angry and violent, just pouty, (temporarily) naive and (seemingly) sexually seductive to manipulate an abundance of 'willing' testerone-fuelled dickbrains to be her "shooters."

after watching in the news, 5 kids get murdered by women in the last couple of weeks in Canada-of course these women, are all in need of,"Help".
this one will be also qualified for,"help".
i heard this nutbar's husband was arrested as well-not sure what for?
women have certainly achieved equality-i wonder what the feminists have to say about this? "empowered"?
of course we can remember her name and spread it around like wildfire any time the word "lepine" is used
i dont want to know her name or her life story
or all her troubles with her boyfriend and relationships.
just throw her in prison , don't give her the favor of showing special attention.

The killer awoke before dawn.... he put his boots on
She'll probably get a spot on Oprah and be worshiped by the anti male drones!!!![]()
umm, a little objectivity and impartiality is required folks...this case can be motivated by drastically different things than what you're imagining now. She wasn't targeting male students specifically, it was a chemistry department.
already one university shooting (valerie fabrikant) was the direct result of a professor who was being refused tenure, and his work constantly plagirized by others, he was also threatened. So he shot some of those who were doing this.
regarding cho, he was a graduate in the English department. Turns out he did have some ideological issues with the faculty. NOT that I'm condoning what he did AT ALL. Phyllis Schlafly has a good piece on what may have troubled Cho. Though we don't know if these courses were taken by cho.

Did he take Professor Bernice L. Hausman's English 5454 called "Studies in Theory: Representing Female Bodies"? The titles of the assigned readings include "Black Bodies, White Bodies: Toward an Iconography of Female Sexuality in Late Nineteenth-Century Art, Medicine, and Literature," "The Comparative Anatomy of Hottentot Women in Europe, 1815-1817," "Selling Hot Pussy: Representations of Black Female Sexuality in the Cultural Marketplace," "The Anthropometry of Barbie: Unsettling Ideals of the Feminine Body in Popular Culture," and "Foucault, Femininity, and the Modernization of Patriarchal Power." One of the assignments in this course (worth 10 percent of the total grade) is to "choose one day in which they dress and comport themselves in a manner either more masculine or more feminine than they would normally."
Is this really a course taught by the English Department? It sounds like just the thing to confuse an already mixed-up kid.
Hausman uses "feminist pedagogy" theory, believing that sex and gender are merely "rhetorical constructs" resulting from cultural experiences, and that "students are more responsible for the creation of knowledge." She lists her areas of expertise as "sexed embodiment, feminist and gender theory, and cultural studies of medicine."
maybe this female shooter was disgruntled? Maybe they were mobbing her? Academic mobbing is very common. Maybe she thought she deserved something but really didn't and was jealous??? We'll have to see

Wasn't the first ever school shooting performed by a girl? I believe the Boomtown Rats sang "I Don't Like Mondays" because of it.
Now if I'm right, we could easily be as bad as the feminists and say that the only reason school shootings occur, is because a girl started the trend, typical women.

I'm not sure on the specifics, but my point is because the preconceived (sexist) formulation is one where the male is the perpetrator, it's rather difficult to deviate from such rigid thinking and embrace another (logical) approach.
Whose ideological delusion wants a twatting then?

Actually - this does a dis-service to Postal Workers (even the cliche 'Male-man'), who are no where as near violent as certain segments of the female population.Bottom line, a woman doesn't need to go postal as the system is heavily stacked in her favour. The state IS her gang and jack-booted enforcers!...
The Santa Barbara shooting / suicide rampage from 2006 is a case in point:

GOLETA, Calif., Jan. 31, 2006 Woman Shooter Kills 5, Herself
Ex-Postal Worker Opens Fire In Calif. Mail Processing Plant By Francie Grace
(CBS/AP) A female ex-postal worker opened fire at a mail processing plant, killing five people and critically wounding another before committing suicide in what's believed to be the deadliest workplace shooting ever carried out by a woman.
The rampage, the first deadly shooting at a postal installation in nearly eight years...
The suspect, who was not identified, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Jim Anderson said...
It also was the bloodiest at a Postal Service facility since 1986, when a letter carrier killed 14 people in Edmond, Okla., and then took his own life. Postal facilities were the scene of a series of high-profile shootings in the mid-1980s and early '90s.
The last postal shooting was in 1998, when a 27-year-old letter carrier fatally shot a post office clerk in Dallas after they argued in a break room. He was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity.

I agree, but my usage of the term "postal" is a familiar 'constructive' appetizer to entice the undead and unthinking mass readership into other realms of expansive thinking - a mere (democratic?) practicality to dilute the all prevailing social poison.
Winning the battle of semantics is a cause half lost or won. Win we must.

celtic, I never said I supported the woman's actions. All I said is that you shouldn't automatically paint this as a feminist issue. News released now says that she was denied tenure.
and ohso, the santa barbara shooting was done by a hispanic female. Hispanics and blacks do have higher rates of domestic violence/homicide/ in their population than whites.
