Dude, I don't watch tv. I download a couple of programmes and in the last year I've seen two programmes that were worth watching, one of which I download. I gave up watching tv a good while back. It holds no interest for me.

just yesterday I watched this episode of CSI: NY. And there was a nice little example of misandry - this one of the "good" guys, after they prove that this guy blew somebody's head off, says this to him: "Because where you're goin', you get sex for free" (meaning prison, of course) in this Justice-will-be-done kind of tone (i.e. he was saying to him, that he'll soon become Big Bubba's little biotch).

Note, that this guy wasn't even a rapist or anything. He was drunk and was hitting on this girl. Her boyfriend punched him in the face for it. He went for the shotgun and blew this guy's head off (he'd mistaken him for the boyfriend who punched him).

Now I don't watch CSI regularly, and maybe I'm wrong, but I have a had time imagining one of the crew saying a line like that to female criminal, no matter how vicious.

LG... - CSI NY is particularily misandrist.It is mentioned on a few MRA sites and I was shocked to read about the story lines which are always showing men as rapists psychos,or creeps.As ever female characters are strong savvy out there fighting the patriarchy.I hear ITV are bringing back the feminist created- Prime Suspect 7 yawn....with Helen Mirren who is herself a deluded old feminist crone.
So pull the plug like Karl who sets a good example as Cappin of the good ship AM .Lets keep aim wth our cannons at the MSM.We could sink them yet.

I believe that the internet will be equal to higher in terms of popularity for men, particularly Generation Y (teens/twenties), when set against television

Look at Youtube for example, and how popular that site is for new media

Why- we could have antifeminist/mra messages streamed from there and they couldn't be taken off- because they are not government controlled

Also- young men are generally more interested in new technology than women- and that is something we must use to our advantage !!

The internet is our dark horse, and it will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years

I agree with the core of the argument for men to switch off the hate-box. However, I believe there has to be some of us observing and taking notes, and then maybe transcribing the show for other MRAs to read and act upon worldwide.

Without this vanguard of men acting as monitors, we are unable to launch a campaign against certain programmes, news items, ads etc. For instance, if I had not sat through "bring your husband to heel" I wouldn't have been able to transcribe the show for others around the world to read and join in the successful campaign, which so many MRAs participated in.

I sit through many such programmes that I absolutely detest, but I do so for the "greater good." I can understand a growing number of disillusioned men ignoring television, but history has shown that sticking your head in the sand, doesn't affect the pervasive reality of the problems we as men face.

We have to archive these crimes, so that hopefully one day such people will be subject to a "hague style tribunal." Justice cannot be served if nobody has bothered to observe and take notes!

Absolutely CD I strongly suggest more of what you did.Showing up their misandry and hypocrisy is vital so lets keep monitoring their evil outpourings.They bring discredit to themselves by their vindictive programming.
Write to advertisers who put ads between misandrist programming and suggest politely that it reflects badly on their products esp if they are products men use,discouraging sales of these.
How effective will this be I dont know? But at least we are doing something also sending a reminder to the BBC about that strongly misandrist streak of theirs and how they are failing to provide accountable objective programmes.

Statistics or something about male hatred in television shows, movies should be gathered and keep track of. Then it should be compared with the amount of female hatred to create a clear overview of how biased the television media actually is and in what sort of light it depicts each gender. With this something could be done against it too.

Personally, I've never said nor encouraged others to NOT watch tv

In fact, and I've said it here and elsewhere, I actively watch shows like Question Time/Write Stuff/Prime Ministers Questions etc just to see how misandric they really are

Now- in regards to informing men of misandry, the internet will be our saviour here

I think there are elements of the news media, journalists who are imbued by a sense of journalistic conviction (you know, telling the truth devoid of political or ideological influence) regardless of possible penalties, adhere to the old fashioned notion of expounding the truth. Hopefully it's catching.
