Testosterone
I recall (Having a feminist mother) how sexist is is to talk about women's hormonal imbalances. Something along the lines of "no matter what our concerns are men just patronise and say 'oh its 'er hormones' even if we have a valid point'"
Yet all over the media and in life all I here about is any time a man is angry or having an argument (esp with another man) all we here is sexist comments about Testosterone, which (unless I failed biology) is a HORMONE.
Just another bit of hypocrisy from the feminist media. Any one else notice this?

Re: Testosterone
It's something i'd noticed in various films. It's often referred to as 'pissing contests' and suchlike. You certainly have a valid point in this observation you've made. Also, on the same theme but a different point, is in the past hormonal problems were seen as just that; problems. Now, it is used to excuse behaviours, to elevate above men, etc.
Yes, we're "taught" to consider women's raging hormones as somehow superior.

Re: Testosterone
Testosterone is a male hormone, and as such beyond redemption. As are men. So it's open season on both.
Women and their hormones are the bearers of all things good and fluffy, of course. So you shouldn't be nasty to them.

Re: Testosterone
Feminists are also less than consistent about this. They like to use PMS as an excuse for all kinds of bad behaviour, right up to murder. And PMS is caused by .... hormones.I recall (Having a feminist mother) how sexist is is to talk about women's hormonal imbalances. Something along the lines of "no matter what our concerns are men just patronise and say 'oh its 'er hormones' even if we have a valid point'"
A double standard?
The problem is a women's moods are influenced by their hormones (at least to some degree). There is scientific evidence of that. It's just not clear exactly how and to what degree, and it probably varies a lot from one woman to another.
So when a man says it's 'just her hormones', at least some of the time he's going to be right.

Re: Testosterone
While, at the same time, she can't have anything denied because of it. Then PMS must be percieved as not a big thing at all. In other words, PMS can't be used as an excuse when this excuse would have bad consequences for the woman (loss of job because of her unbearable moodswings, unfriendly interaction with clients when it's 'that time of the month', etc.).
Quote from The Phantom
But when it has good consequences for the woman (namely, relieving her of any responsibility) as you said, then it's all about PMS Teh Excuse™.S E R V I C E W I T H A S M I L E

Re: Testosterone
Good to read the messages.
Years ago I was in a brainstorming meeting with professional colleagues (educational services to schools). We were supposed to write on a strip of paper, one line that described the qualities of our service. As the anonymous contributions were read out, one came up -TESTOSTERONE FREE!
Nobody batted an eyelid, (including me); it was par for the course in those days. If that same meeting was held now there might be at least one man who would dare to ask, 'Why?'
And even if there wasn't, there would be plenty thinking it. For me that's progress. You get a better view from farther away.

Re: Testosterone
It definatly isnt random. I often see the same thing, like lets say there was a group of men on some program some mangina mentions testosterone in a negative way, yet when its a group of women on the same program...I dont hear anyone mentioning oestrogen.

I am so glad im getting rid of the tv license, Bastards Broadcasting Communism wont get any more money from me.

So there you go... Progress! The worm is turning (slowly but surely) and critical analysis of the matriarchal myth is becoming commonplace.
Welcome SolidSquall. Good advice on watching out for the Femibeeb!

Just remember what the bbc uses OUR money for and you will never want to pay a tv license again. The only good thing on tv is lost anyway.

Re: Testosterone
I'm really hoping SS uses the word 'lost' meaning 'cannot find it's way', but alas, I suspect SS refers to that dodgy programme.

Yes, SolidSquall, but the 'OUR' is relative.
I pay 500 Pesos (5 quid) a month for fifty channels and the Femibeeb is just one. It can't be a big income earner for the Femibeeb in the Far East, merely a propaganda wing. So it must be subsidised from back home. The subsidy is mainly YOUR money (but I still pay UK Income Tax BTW - and receive SFA, so in a sense it's still 'OUR's).
Before the 'Great Insanity' most people viewed the licence fee as a contribution to the advancement of society. Now it's just a ransom for the kidnap of civilised society.

Re: Testosterone
little glutton hit the nail on the head before.
Feminists want PMS and women's hormones to be a copout clause for women when they get in trouble, but they don't want them to be used against women.
