I think its ridiculous how men make more money , yet women spend most of it. The only time men spend more is during dating and special occasions where they pay and buy things for the woman. Quote:

that totally was out of sorts for me. I am a southern girl at heart and I married a true southern gentleman who pays for everything from the first date to now. He also opens my car door and makes me breakfast in bed on weekends.

I don't mind paying, but going Dutch on the first date does seem to kill the romance. Do you start calculating who ordered what? When my husband and I were dating, I think we averaged about 3 to 1 (he paid three times for every one times I paid).

Sadly, this is true. Women do resent you if you don't pick up the check. Or hold the door. Or offer them your chair. Or demand preferential treatment in a million little ways. This, ladies, is why men still have a hard time coming to grips with the whole equality-among-the sexes thing.
