ok I just found this scene from "The World According to Garp", a good movie actually. I just had to post it here. It is intended to be a comical scene but seriously it really isn't funny when you think about it.

Hmmmm, that girl who got into a car wreck an is now a vegetable looking pretty hot! I think that I wil mount her and use her as an incubator so I can be a dad without having to have a nagging wife around who will quite possibly take the kid away from me and use it as a tool to extract child support from me. Yea baby!

Sort of sickening how she has this nonchellant and misandric view of men.. or should I just say penis....

@ Rohara: there is a Spanish movie about a guy who falls in love with a woman, but she gets into some accident and falls in a coma. He then signs up as a nurse and treats her. He spends lots of time talking to her, reading her stories, and eventually has sex with her, getting her pregnant. Of course he ends up in jail for it, but it's not dissimilar to that scene from "Life according to Garp". If anything, the man from the Spanish movie had way more love for his victim.


I have experienced female-on-male sexual assault. To quote from my introductory post:

Men are supposed to respect a "no" from a woman, and I do, but try saying "no" to your girlfriend when she wants sex... One time I really wanted to sleep and had a headache, but she just started humping me and grabbing for my penis. I objected all the time and tried to push her hands off me, but she just kept going. Finally I threw her off with force, after which she started crying and shouting how I wasn't attracted to her.

The easiest way to gauge perception on this crime is to contrast the public attitude to rape (seen as a crime against women) with the public attitude to prison rape (seen as a crime against men) for your conveniance:

Rape - Vast network of state and private advocacy exists for victims. Victims are encouraged to come foreword. Allegation is often enough for summary arrest of suspect with no further evidence required. Definition of what constitutes rape is constantly being expanded to include behaviours previously not considered rape. Majority of crimes are not excessively violent, i.e. the accused could not be additionally charged with assault or attempted murder. Generally occurs without witnesses on private property. Is admittedly difficult to prosecute in a legal sense. Is considered by most persons to be close to murder in regards to the severity of the offence, yet is treated with even more trepidation and delicacy by most persons than is even murder (i.e. making light of rape is considered worse than making light of murder in public perception) gang-rape is looked upon with particular severity. Almost no women are raped more than once. Very few women are raped, ever. Statistically speaking there is no reason for women to be afraid that they will become a victim of this crime and if they do fear rape, or indeed any kind of violent crime, there are many options available to allay such fears from learning self-defence skills to carrying a weapon.

Prison Rape - Almost no support exists for victims. Victims are not generally encouraged to come foreword, in fact those in authority often view it as a good way of maintaining control over otherwise violent persons. Allegation is rarely enough for the suspect to be confined or even separated from the victim despite the clear threat of violent reprisals occurring for those who go to the authorities. Definition of what constitutes prison rape is relatively consistent and has remained so, it must contain a violent element; 'feminine,' or transsexual men are often coerced, pressured into sex via threats, favours and other means and this is almost never considered rape. The majority of crimes are excessively violent, i.e. the accused could generally be additionally charged with assault or attempted murder, crime is by definition more physically destructive and ten times more likely to result in the victim contracting AIDS, and AIDS aside almost one-hundred percent likely the victim will contract some STD. By definition, always occurs on monitored and secure Government property staffed by individuals and protected by devices supposedly trained / designed to maintain a non-violent, orderly environment. Is sometimes witnessed, occurs not infrequently with more than two persons involved. Due to its violent nature it is less difficult to prosecute. Is considered by most person's to be amusing, victims are often the subject of ridicule, and/or at least considered by most to be a useful addition to criminal justice system in punishing criminals, is almost exclusively referenced in popular culture via parody or send-up. Those raped once in the prison system essentially become 'public domain,' and will often be raped again and again. Almost every man in a US prison, depending on the prison or jail they are in, must to some degree proactively behave in such a way as to ward-off would be rapists. A ball-park figure: 28% of men within the US Prison system have been raped. Annually more men are raped in US prisons and jails than non-incarcerated women similarly assaulted*

Outside the prison system people operate culturally on the simple premise that 'men cannot be raped,' and that's it. So even if a man is raped it must somehow be his fault, or is seen as such farce that it is presented as comedy.
