Shattered Men site hacked

Early Sunday Morning, April 1st, 2007 someone hacked into my account and deleted the interactive group for Shattered Men. This is where most of the work for Shattered Men was done. They also gained access to the e-mail account that we used which contained confidential information from our membership both as an ordained minister and as a
registered nurse but it appears they simply deleted that as quickly as they could but we lost several thousand messages there too.

In this deletion, we lost all of the information that has been posted since Oct. 31, 1999 including over 40,000 messages along with the contact information for 990 members.

We will rebuild. Yahoo is working on trying to recover some of this information and they have said they do know who did it. We will be requesting criminal charges be filed with the FBI who has already been contacted regarding this. It is my prayer that those responsible will seek forgiveness first of all from God and then from the membership of Shattered Men

Unless we look at BOTH sides, we will not resolve this problem but it appears that someone is willing to break United States federal laws to keep BOTH sides from being exposed!

Although this hacking took place back in April this year, it highlights a worrying and growing trend of MRA forums and blogs (this forum included) of either being hacked or deleted entirely.

Hopefully most/if not all of the content of shatteredmen.com can be retrieved.

He seems a pleasant chap. But forget forgiveness, those responsible for this hacking need to have their asses pinned to the wall, and every conceivable charge levied against them. Otherwise where is the deterrent to prevent others from doing the same?

Turning the other cheek isn't the answer. Those responsible will just laugh at the gesture, and interpret it as a sign of weakness.

Indeed Yahoo does know. Everything that is posted on their services is available on an internal archive which they can access at any point. They should have no difficulty rebuilding the site in full.

Likewise Google would be able to rebuild the 4 British MRA blogs that went down in the last month. If they so wished.

If there is Governmental involvement, however, and it's not just a case of a few women/feminists with a penchant for censoring, the whole thing is much harder to resolve.

I'd be very interested in knowing how this panned out for them - rebuilding the site with Yahoo and the FBI investigation and charges. Can we expect the judicial system to come to the rescue of a men's rights group when feminists are on the other side? Something tells me we cannot expect the FBI to be that co-operative, even in the face of incriminating evidence. Either way, the feminist hackers are no doubt breaking both Yahoo's terms and conditions and US federal law.

No, there is no point to forgiveness. Women operate on an entirely different moral level as men and such gestures are only a sign of weakness to them. They will not reciprocate. No matter how dispicable we may think such hacking and silencing is - they think nothing of it. Absolutely nothing.
