Today I learned about a District Attorney in San Diego named Bonnie Dumanis who has teamed up with a local state senator to combat false allegations and perjury in court. Apparently perjury has gone unprosecuted for many years in this jurisdiction. She is making public statements that she's committed to cracking down on perjurers, which is a welcome sign. Of course, the proof is in the pudding, but what a welcome change!

If there is any teeth to the notion that there is a prosecutor who is willing to take on perjurers (talking about it is itself a welcome change), then we have cause for celebration.
