Random questions

In a thread on my myspace MRA group, the following post was made:

These are just random questions.

1) In the SAS, I believe as part of the training men have to strip naked and be verbally abused by a senior member of staff if my information is correct. Do women SAS staff have to suffer the same training?

2) In the police force, is it seen as a wrong thing for a male officer to use his defence equipment, such as his truncheon or pepperspray, on a female suspect? I imagine it's allowed but probably is looked down on.

3) If a cruise ship was to meet disaster, would the "Women and children first" rule still apply in evacuation or have cruise companies realised that men are paying customers entitled to the same safety too?

4) When schools in the UK were allowed to issue the caine to disipline children, were male teachers allowed to do it to girl pupils?

5) In UK prisons, is it true that male prisoners have to wear a uniform yet female prisoners don't?
Does anyone know the answers to the above questions?

The SAS is British Army. It is a 'behind the lines' and special anti-terrorism strike force. There are no women in British combat roles. Women serve on specialist roles in the SAS - office work, logistics, comms, planning, co-ordination. They get the same basic selection training. The resistance training differs by role.

4) When schools in the UK were allowed to issue the caine to disipline children, were male teachers allowed to do it to girl pupils?

When I was in school in the UK, boys got the strap, on the hands, from the Deputy Head only. Girls did not get corporal punishment.

I have tried all my life to leave the place better than I found it.
But there are 6 billion other buggers out there messing it up.
I am outnumbered.
But...
YOU don't just make a difference,
you make THE difference.

That is still standard policy on cruise ships. If there is a choice to be made the women and children will get the lifeboats, or first rescue.

Women are valuable. Men are not.
