Open Question: Why is 'woman' used instead of 'female' as an adjective when describin

Open Question: Why is 'woman' used instead of 'female' as an adjective when describing a woman's profession?

    From Yahoo Answers
In the media, 'woman' is used more frequently than 'female' as an adjective before a woman's job, e.g. woman journalist, women pilots etc.and yet for men 'male' is used. The only reason I can think of is that it is something to do with feminism but I can't work out why the word 'female' would be offensive in any way and 'woman' is used when it is grammatically incorrect.

Using 'male' as oppose 'man' is a basically a method of dehumanizing the group it refers to. Male can refer to anything, but by retaining the 'woman' as oppose 'female' it retains the full human element, making people empathize more.

The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.
Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
Wife : "Those they gave away."
Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
Husband : "That's where they held the auction."

Spot on analysis. Not only is man/woman more human, there are slight connotations of maturity and even achievment/success.
Feminism tries to disempower men who were never that empowered to start with

Adverts attack male confidence like castration by a million tiny cuts
