Open Question: Why are so many men opposed to the idea of women being considered their equal?
From Yahoo Answers
We live in the age of equality right? Men and women are supposed to be equal. So why do some men on Yahoo! Answers get threatened and sometimes even angry with some of my questions, none of which are intended to offend. For example, I have asked why Batman's equal is BatGIRL, or why there are more male than female puppets on Sesame Street and been flooded with rude answers. These questions don't mean that I hate Batman, or want to murder Ernie and Bert. I think these characters are great. I just wonder why females tend to be under-represented in children's entertainment.Any reasons why some men would be offended by a female Sesame Street character? Coz I don't get it.What a load of sexist crap. Thanks freakwithahat:-)

Awful, isn't it? Women may, okay, get eight times the funding for their healthcare than do men; get favoured by divorce courts; favoured by family courts; get things paid for them; get positively discriminated in favour of in the workforce; get to look smart in the media that caters for them; have an education system that favours them; receive lighter sentences for their crimes; and are able to hit men with near-impunity........but none of this even BEGINS to compensate for the relative lack of female 'Sesame Street' characters! Just remember that, you Godawful misogynists!

women are not equal to men and men instinctively know this and are repulsed by the idea.
Real men hate women

It is axiomatic that all people are created equal. We all start off totally incapable. Only automatic processes can keep us viable for the first hour or two.
Thereafter we diverge considerably on almost every measure.
I do not know of anyone who is equal to me.
In some respects, against some measures, some people are vastly better than me. I admire them for their attributes and talents. I 'look up' to some people. I try, sometimes, to emulate them and improve my meagre attributes.
Others are so far below me that they are outta sight. I do not 'look down' on them. OK, I do sometimes ! But only when I see them making no attempt whatsoever to grow and develop and claiming all the privileges of achievements that they have spectacularly failed at and others worked like one armed paperhangers for.
And their gender has sod all to do with it.

Love the Sinner but not the Sin.
(St. Augustine)
“ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. “
(and within ourselves)
(Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
A Feminist is a human being who has lost her way and turned vicious.

offer kindness but keep your sword drawn.

I don't think it should come as too much of a surprise that this girl's favourite programme is 'Sesame Street'.

The concept of equality is open to abuse as its a nice sounding idea, but in reality, it means distorting reality.
The average man could show a clean pair of heels to the avergae woman in a sprint..
There is no way men and women can be considered equal in may sports etc..
The average woman, what with speaking 3 times more words daily than the average man, probably has a massive head start in winning arguments..
Also, they have deal breakers on their chests, and lovely lips and fluttering eye lashes..
I was recently seperated from a bar brawl that would have probably escalated to something bloody if it was not for the small but well proportioned young lady who destracted me away from decking a few more violent pissheads who were aasking for it..
Men and women are equal and always were, top and bottom of it is anything that survives, thrives, etc is as good as anything else aint it?
But, they are not the same, much as the statist gender hermophradites like to bullshit they are..
Feminists attempts to "equalise" teh genders are very misguided, as they focus only on the areas were women score LOWER than men..
They dont care for the very major advantages that women have over men, which are pretty much always based on their reproductive tools.
Breasts not only win arguments, they also feed babies better than anything else yet invented..
