Open Question: Why do we have this double standard?

Open Question: Why do we have this double standard?

    From Yahoo Answers
How come when a guy talks about men's rights or how women treat us bad we get labeled a sexist, but its completely ok and expected for women to insult and generalize all men. Isn't feminism about helping the rights of BOTH GENDERS?

Am I the only one who, upon reading the title of this thread, thought something along the lines of "God, I wonder WHICH double standard they mean"? It says it all, that I pretty much knew it would be about a double standard that goes against men; 'cause even though most grievances aired on 'Yahoo! Answers' are going to be relating to supposed disadvantages against females, supporters of 'women's rights' rarely can ACTUALLY highlight double standards, ironically; the question would just be too specific, to be one of the opposing side's.

    I am guilty as well...
The men's and fathers' movement needs to make sure it never sees females as the enemy,
but only misandry--whether from females or from males.
If not, we'll become like the bigoted feminists that this movement was formed to oppose.

Looks like the thought police have deleted the question.
Feminism tries to disempower men who were never that empowered to start with

Adverts attack male confidence like castration by a million tiny cuts
