Open Question: When feminists downplay female on male domestic abuse aren't they also covering up child abuse?

Ok first off no one disputes women are killed more or hospitalized more BUT the cliche "when men are killed in equal numbers to women then we'll talk about male victims" is an apologist attitude, but yet feminists say this so often almost like a knee jerk reaction. Secondly it is not representative of one who wants the sexes to be treated equally. So contradicts the definition of feminism does it not?But most of all it serves to perpetuate the cycle of abuse. For example:When feminists downplay female perpetrated abuse esp domestic abuse they are: 1. Denying a man should be equally protected and awareness be created 2. Denying that children should be able to get out of the dangerous family unit. Which is anti-children's protection/rights.Is this what feminism is about? Denying children the right to be protect from a bad environment by dismissing male victims and refusing to acknowledge it?So it seems feminists will gladly allow children to be abused by a mother or maybe just witness abuse just so long as they know a man is not protected. This to me is quite sick.Instead of children learning a patten of anger from a violent father it can be from the mother and boys instead of learning to view women/girls as less he will possibly hate women from seeing his mother do this and probably become and abuser anyway due to his prejudice toward women learned from witnessing his mother.
