    Judging by the lack of distancing by moderates from the radicals, I'd say very little.

    The best response I've seen to this question is that the radicals are playing offense, and the non-radicals are playing defense. So the radicals are out there writing that all men are rapists and all heterosexual sex is violence per se and so forth, while the non-radicals are there to pooh-pooh the critiques of the radicals (saying that they aren't representative, etc.), which in effect allows the radicals to remain in positions of academic power, which in turn allows the ideological brainwashing regime to continue apace. The radicals are the ideologues and the others are their enablers, simply put.
