Re: Open Question: What do you think of this statement?

It's not set in stone, but feminism and women's typical desires DO definitely clash; when it comes to the crunch, it's natural for women to want their partners to be the dominant ones, to a degree. I've heard numerous young women saying how they like men to take the lead; and even if they don't explicitly state as much, many will get annoyed at a partner who isn't always being the one to decide what to do etc etc.

Feminism has convinced women that it's what they want; the reality is different, however. You can't escape nature.

This is probably mostly why marriages are declining.

I agree with the second part, but absolutely disagree with the first, from what I've noticed, women do want to be with men they can control, I don't think I've ever met a couple where the woman isn't bossy and controlling in some way.

There is truth in that....I can´t deny

To be fair I never dated a man that was bossy....hehehehehe

More seriously I see this in a lot of women arround me. Mother, wife, neighbour, relatives. I do believe that it is often like in Roman times, that the wife is the boss at home while the husband is the chef out of the house. And if we look at a previous statistic, on who makes the most decision on how money is spent in a marriage ( http://antimisandry.com/news-article...tml#post106003 ) we have a hint on who is the boss at home most of the time.

I wouldn't say never, but going on what I have personally witnessed in my life, it's more likely than not that the woman is the bossy, controlling one.
I would also bet that if you were to be truly honest, you'd probably agree that that's how it pans out for most couples you know.

Does it really make more sense? How many more decades will it take for people to see that a household can't run with 2 chiefs?

Men are accused of being controlling for having a differing opinion.

Man: "We can't afford for you to buy that today" = Controlling.

Of course if a woman says that same sentence to a man, she is the smart one who is practicing good money management.

Re: Open Question: What do you think of this statement?

I suspect most of us do want a man that's in control, as dyslexic_banana says; but feminism says that's Bad and Oppressive. Women want to show they're not going to be "oppressed," &c. &c. so they start giving their orders and being fanatical about who will do which household chores. When the man will not do as he's told, this "confirms" that men are lazy, abusive and all that. The woman becomes angry and nags her man into an early grave, or bleeds him dry in court.

right on I am old enough to recall the pre feminit days.
they were bossy and spiteful and still are however a man had a 50/50 chance of surviving the divorce - not so nowdays

They were, but feminism gives them the excuse and adds fuel to the proverbial fire.

Little girls are always the bossy ones in the classroom, big girls are no different.
