Open Question: Isn't this taking equality too far ? Is it even quality anymore ?

In my state their is an annual carnival. During this carnival their are various pageants and singing contest. (note the singing is calypso style i.e. jokes on politicians etc) When I was a child the carnival would end with a Carnival King and Queen. The King being the winner of the adult calypso contest, and the queen being the winner if the adult pageant contest. However now we have; Women allowed in the men's calypso contest. AND A separate women's calypso contest. Isn't this too much ? I mean seriously there is a princess pageant, teenage pageant, queen pageant, mother's queen pageant, a women's calypso show.. so WHY should women still be allowed in the men's calypso show, when they already have 4 shows exclusive to themselves already ? And after all this, people still have the nerve to say "men are not participating" but how can we ? Everything that was ours, now has to be shared with women, and everything that was for women remains theirs !
