Open Question: how many people think feminism is a form of rape to our culture.?

    From Yahoo Answers
not when it started out but now.It has raped men of their rights to be fathers to their kids if the wife leaves. it has raped men's right to have sex without legal documentation almost and it has raped men's honor when they are abused by their wife or lover. Comon lets talk about who raping who here. rebel yell how are these things a cop out they are a direct result of modern feminism in our culture. And the thinking that all men are in the wrong. this shows how far you have pushed the line of fairness in your quest for fake equality no it is not fair to target other people for crimes they didn't commit. but if there is a group that protects these people who do the crimes just cause there are females i see a problem. and just cause your a good feminist doesn't take any from the fact that you will be helping the bad ones as well. yea tic toc iam a troll look at the stars i got and the reaction to what you said. o and rebel I am working on it 3 more years at usc so you know i will be good it it

There's many negative connotations you could attribute to feminism, but I think using the word rape out of context is akin to adopting feminist tactics.

This again? "Feminism used to be about equality but not anymore"...bah!

The very name gives it's intent away. It was never about equal rights nor is it now. It's just that now it is becoming more and more obvious.

Well, atleast we see fewer and fewer people claiming feminism is STILL about equal rights so that is progress. Maybe in 30 years we will see people come to the realization that feminism has never been about equal rights.

As for using the term "rape" out of context, feminists have already abused that word and they have devalued it. May as well help them devalue it further.

All words used to get preferential treatment are devalued. Racist, rape... It's disappointing because when those things actually happen, the gravity of the issues are dismissed.

Yes, I see you're point. I often hear feminists (and some women) refer to certain trying circumstances or experiences as "being like rape."

Well, rape is a word that has been used to beat men over the head for too long. I think it deserves to be devalued.

Just as racist has been used to beat white people over the head, it also deserves to be devalued.

I'm only a smart part Romanian and I have Romania written on my passport, but that's about it. I don't get people who identify themselves with a certain race or gang or whatever. It's a codependence thing.

I don't get hiding an insecurity behind a race or whatever. All these people do is look for things that feel good by identifying with a race or gang because their achievements are too shitty.

No because I could care the less what I flag I have there. If it would be Zimbabwe's flag, I'd feel the same about myself. If all your self-worth come from being part of something, it's kind of sad.

That is only true, if the that something, is shitty to start with, but being part of something that is larger than yourself which also does not take away your own self worth and individuality, how is that bad or even sad.

Needing some exterior force for self-validation is sad. And I was referring to the immature gang attitude that a part of the people of certain ethnicities have.
