    Open Question: Do ANY feminists acknowledge that men can be discriminated/prejudiced against in this era?

    From Yahoo Answers

    while on their (alleged) crusade for gender equality? Seems a lot of them make excuses and justifications for men being hurt like "oh well you've had it easy for centuries" Em do I look like I'm 500 yrs old? We are now raising boys teaching them they are little rapists/lazy/immature/academically inferior/violent/domineering and girls are so empowered by this. I'm all for empowerment of females but not through degredation of males, now that's equality imo. Larry - resorting to generalizations is definitely not going to improve my view of modern feminism. Not all men are shallow and not all women look for qualities in men that are good. Many want to be pampered and put on a pedistal. Boy are only seeing in girls how their pop culture portrays girls i.e. sex/nudity so this is a social thing not men being inferior. We need to teach boys about the qualities girls have other than sex and boys will see it. But railing at men isn't going to help.

    Re: Open Question: Do ANY feminists acknowledge that men can be discriminated/prejudi

    There is an interesting cross-chat between a pro-feminist man, called Larry, and myself.
    I said:
    Although a minority of feminists may acknowledge it - none of them are willing to actually do anything about it, while they claim their movement is about equality. But you can bet your bottom dollar they would be willing to do something IF it were women in that same position.
    At that point, Larry answered:
    Quote Quote from Larry
    Feminists in general just want respect for women, want women not to be treated like objects and eliminate their sh*tty double standards. Don't you guys get it?
    So I added:
    Larry - that is perfectly fine - but we want the same for men AS WELL as for women... don't YOU get it?
    Larry then responded to me:
    Quote Quote from Larry
    2nd answer - yeah I think that but these people are hating on feminists.
    I added:
    Larry - That's because it is feminism that has created so much hostility towards men, blaming men for everything including women's own wrong-doings. After a few decades of being lied about - you get tired of it.... If feminists want true equality, they need to actually demonstrate true equality instead of demanding equality ONLY when it benefits women OR is detrimental to men. Equality has good AND bad sides, feminism demands that women get the good while men get the bad.
    And Larry responded:
    Quote Quote from Larry
    -Maybe some feminists don't feel that women are being treated fairly especially because men are more shallow and demand attractiveness a lot more than personality and its the other way around generally for a woman. Don't you see the sense of who's superior and who's inferior just through that?
    I finally added, and left it at:
    Larry - thanks for confirming that feminism views men as inferior and women as superior.
    However, I then asked other members what they thought of Larry's quote:

    What does this pro-feminist (male) quote say about the movement?

    "Maybe some feminists don't feel that women are being treated fairly especially because men are more shallow and demand attractiveness a lot more than personality and its the other way around generally for a woman. Don't you see the sense of who's superior and who's inferior just through that?"

    As MRA's have been saying for a long time, feminism for too many feminists - is about superiority - not equality.

    As you'll note from the above question, another (pro-feminist male) member and I talked briefly about feminism and whether or not it accepts that in some areas men might be discriminated against. The conversation went to the effect of:

    ~~~
    L - We just want equality & undo double standards & get respect for women.
    me - Fine, but let's have that for men AND women, instead of women only.
    L - Hating on feminists is wrong
    me - Hating on men is wrong too, and feminism has been doing it a long time.
    L - But men are shallow, and from that we can determine women are superior to men - can't you see that?
    me - thanks for confirming feminism views men as inferior.
    ~~~

    I haven't quote word for word, as I don't wish to violate the ToS & CG, however I've supplied the direct link so you can read it in full context as well as giving an 'rough' guide to the conversation here for those too lazy to click the link.

    So... isn't it about time more feminists were as honest as their male sympathiser in the above question/answer?

    The most offensive thing you can do to a feminist is treat her with FULL equality.
    Wife : "I dreamt they were auctioning off dicks. The big ones went for ten dollars and the thick ones went for twenty dollars."
    Husband : "How about the ones like mine?"
    Wife : "Those they gave away."
    Husband : "I had a dream too...I dreamt they were auctioning off pussy. The pretty ones went for a thousand dollars, and the little tight ones went for two thousand."
    Wife : "And how much for the ones like mine?"
    Husband : "That's where they held the auction."
