with all media,brochures and posters for women only-it is no wonder men have no support or guidance-it the very system denying them these"help"devices that paints these men as violent and strips them of any dignity they might have left after being abused
over 2000 non-custodial fathers commit suicide every year-mostly on fathers day!
men as perpetrator -women as victim -what he says can be used against him -what she says can be used against him.
Guilty with no chance of innocence !
why men need a m.a.s.h. (mens alternative safe house)
-men cannot call the police for help with-out reasonable expectation of himself being arrested
-men after being charged,usually have a protective order against them-they cannot go home,see their kids and even have their finances frozen
-After the anxiety and humiliation of the way men are treated by the courts-most men just give up(cause they have no support and are at the mercy of the courts).
-Men have no place to go after being charged with partner abuse.
-suicide rates are highest among non-custodial dads and fathers paying so much support when they themselves are more than willing to take the kids and the courts do not allow this ! suicide is the easy way out-for men bound by the chains of a bias court system !
- A mash would provide support for both partners and children who have witnessed D.V. with-out blame and shame like the womens shelters are famous for !
-Even when an intimate partner wants the police to drop charges against a male spouse the police forces will not let it go !
-Men would be givin peer to peer support while they are going through the court system !
_After pleading guilty to assault,which is an easy way out,instead of spending thousands of dollars(most men plead guilty) on the court system which is designed to financially and emotionally to destroy men
-men are usually ordered to take the p.a.r. program to have the criminal record abolished!-This is a shamefull and degrading anger management course,taught by wounded healers and is based on the ideology of men being violent-not the facts-nor does it take into consideration the pathology,mental illness, drug and,or alcohol abuse! There is no scientific studies that show this is an effective way of dealing with D.V. or that it does nothing but shame and blame men.
A mash unit on the other hand would teach the non-prejudical equality wheel to both partners and not single out males or females like the duluth model power wheel which shows that only men are violent and women are always the victim.This is not the kind of help men need!
would give men a chance to leave with dignity before violence occurs or he is arrested anyways
also would help men who have been stripped of their children who suffer from anxiety and hopelessness
feminists answer to every-thing when a man wants equal rights "is you must hate women"! why because we want equality?
