Re: Night OFF - Question about beer
I like vitamalz. I know it is non alcoholic and does not taste much like beer, but its still a tasty one!!
Normally I just stick vodka or poteen in fruit juice or fizzy drinks and make my own alcopops.
I hardly ever drink though, my drinks cabinet is full of bottles.
I plump for guiness usually or any other stout that is available, because guiness tastes like poo and turns your shit to treacle..
I like special brew, especially if I have an important job to do that needs me to think clearly.
Licher is a good German lager I sometimes get stocks of when I go there. Very tasty. A crate usually lasts a few years for me!
For some odd reason, beer or alcohol motivates me to do things that I would not normally do, probably because of its affects at removing those pesky intrusive thoughts in ones mind..
I go to beer festivals sometimes, its good to try different brands of homemade poison..
I generally go for the stuff with the highest alcohol contents..
Engine Oil is a tasty one..
And Suicider is a powerful 8% hit to the neurons..
Since I get drunk just by sniffing a barmaids fingers I cant actually take much and since most beer tastes like sewage I find that chucking a pint of whatever is strong down my gullet rapidly gets me to the promised land..
Then I can go out and abuse police officers in the street and remind them that they are mangina state puppets..
This is an essential part of my socialising round town.. I could not imagine getting drunk with the young gents without abusing the pork..
Or ending up snaking some little trollop that I was supposedly getting for the lads..
Alcopops are very tasty, but being a "real man" I know it is gay and girly to buy sugary drinks like that..
So, I grin and bear it when the lads buy me them..
It is good to drink a few bottles of something that tastes like pop while at the same time telling everyone how utterly gay the stuff is..
I have stopped wearing my girl guide uniform or short leather skirt round town, as I found that it attracted the wrong sort of attention..
Even my reknowned black leather trousers and purple shirt have not been seen in action for some time..
The python skin cowboy boots get a stretching now and then, but I am a bit of social recluse these days and only go out with the boys when the have weekends off and come round to my "chavs retreat" for a blow-out..
I would give some tips to drinkers who are concerned about the behaviour of other drinkers when they have had a few..
Fighting etc is normal, but flirting with men is just odd..
I had problems at the mardi gra some time ago, I found myself surrounded by loads of strange blokes who looked like they were gay or something..

Re: Night OFF - Question about beer
Every country has its fine ales and one could collect them all and build a mountain. But at the pinnacle there would have to be a spot reserved for ......Newcastle Brown.
Ahh, the very sound of the words make my taste buds tingle !
(I defy anyone to type in a Geordie accent)
I prefer it to treacly Guiness.
Although Guiness does have a song !
Beer is best (have another one)
Beer is best.
It makes you big,
It makes you strong,
It puts more muscle in your old King Kong.
Beer makes bonny babies,
Beer makes maidens cry,
"Have Guiness Tatoo'd on your Chest"
cuz, Beer is Best.
Americans would have their own structure of course. Not a mountain but a waterfall. Americans only ever made Gnat's Pee.

AYe. Looney juice, as it is affectional know in toon..
Another useless fact, re: Scottish & Newcastle...
In the olden days Newcastle Brown Ale was known as 'loony juice' on Tyneside and there was a special ward at Newcastle General Hospital for people who had been mentally afflicted by drinking it. The recipe has since been changed ..

Brom said... Ah.. back to beer.. excellent.
Mutterings: Newcastle Brown is locally known as "Dog". I was told it's linked to the old thing of "Just taking the dog for a walk".

Re: Night OFF - Question about beer
When I wuz a lad, my mates and I used to drink Phipps IPA or Double Diamond regularly at our local.
I recall after several years of being a 'regular' (defined by not having to ask for a particular beer as the landlord knew one's 'usual') we were having a hooley one Saturday night. The landlord came over with a tray of beer and asked "What's the occasion". Someone said , "It's Grahem's birthday". "Oh, good one Gray. How old?" And we all shouted in unison, "16".When in need of a drink to fill the soul
