My father must have surgery
My father can't stand hospitals but he has suffered a working man's injury and must have surgery.
Greed is for amateurs.
Knowledge without wisdom is a load of books on the back of an ass.

I hope he recovers soon.
I have to go under the knife myself in two weeks. I have a hole on the retina of my left eye. They will scoop out the vitreous humour and pump some sulfhur hexaflouride in so that the hole heals up. Hopefully. It means I will have yo 'look down' for a week or two to keep the gas bubble in place.
The op is done by making three holes in my eyeball. Two on one side for a light/camera and for the gas inlet; and one the other side for the surgical instruments/suction device.When in need of a drink to fill the soul
