    Men and Eating Disorders

It's old, but worth a read.

Eating disorder campaigners have criticised a mannequin manufacturer for bringing out a super-skinny male model that they say could encourage vulnerable men to starve themselves.

Next month Rootstein, a British firm, will unveil its Young and Restless collection, which includes a mannequin with a 35in chest and a 27in waist, 11in smaller than the average British man.

The company says the mannequins were modelled on teenage boys who were not anorexic, but were perfect for modelling the skinny jeans and slim tailoring made popular by stars such as Russell Brand. But eating disorder charity Beat said more men were suffering from anorexia and bulimia, and that the mannequins portrayed an unrealistic and unattainable image.

I have always struggled to maintain my body weight (am very skinny) used to be very insecure about it.
i can assure you it was not from trying to maintain an image like in the magazine.
most skinny guys seek to gain weight and muscle mass , not become skinnier.

us skinny ones have it a little rough in this world , maybe even more rough than an overweight person.
men don't respect you , women don't respect you and when you are uneducated you have to compete with hard
big strong fit men for labor jobs (and you will be fucked with ALL DAY). which means you often have to work
harder than everyone else and become viscous and ruthless , in order to prove to your employer that you are worth
a fuck , so they don't replace you with a "normal sized man"

so remember that in this society of people trying to lose weight ,there are still some of us guys
trying to GAIN it but can't.

I need to get you some chitlins, fried food, pig feet and all kinds of shit that we eat down south but the side effect is health issues from being overweight if you eat that shit.
When I do this, and I know I will, it will be comparable to the lame learning to walk, the blind being enabled to see and the suffocated breathing again. The sky isn't the limit; there are no limits.

i don't have the slightest idea of where to get steroids.
i can find chrystal meth in 3 minutes.
actually would love to try that. (the roids)

    am 1/4 of 100 y/o.

p.s. pokemon back to the article ,i like that folk are paying attention
to the disordered guys. i can agree the number of bulemic /anorxic guys is most surely growing .
but still the majority of the dangerously skinny males , really want to change and get a little bigger.
Find a local gym and ask around. You can also buy them online but they're disguised as being legit a lot of the time so you probably wouldn't know you're buying steroids etc.

Seriously, any gym with big guys will set you right. Also, you could try dieting, 3.5k calories per day of mostly protein/carbs and lifting heavy is going to put weight on you, I don't care how fast your metabolism is.

If you do find a seller make sure you buy injections imo, unless you want a fucked up liver.

i live on a mountain in the middle of no where. these folk out here never heard of a gym.
I would if i could , i am lucky to get 1.7k calories a day.
i catch and eat alot of fish. eat alot of rice.

don't think lifting will help either , ive worked very hard through the years, infact recently
came off a two your pipeline before coming here. HARD WORK , only noticed
my pectorals and arms grew , but i'm still skinny.
I don't just want to see extra weight on the scale or develope sexy pecs and abs.
i want to notice physically/visually that i am at a healthy weight.
If you're only eating 1.7k calories per day this has nothing to do with you having a fast metabolism, you're not even eating enough to maintain a females weight. You need to eat more and your problems with weight will naturally disappear.

    Re: Men and Eating Disorders

I use to have a similar problem till the age of 30. I was 5'5", and never over 135lbs, complete with skinny arms and a birdcage for a chest. It never seemed to matter how much I ate, I would not gain weight.....even with a 3000 calories a day.
After I turned 30 my body chemistry changed and I went through another growth spurt. My arms buffed up, my shoulders broadened, and my pecs became much larger. That growth spurt lasted about 5 years, with the changes being gradual.
    I now weight 185 at 5"6".
